  • Impact screen wearing out

I purchased a screen from the below website but, noticed I'm already starting to wear a hole where I keep hitting the screen. Anyone else have this issue or recommend another option?

I bought the Cory HQ screen and blew through it twice in my first 8 months. A guy that hits it like you will need to put a net behind your screen, probably no matter where you get it. Take a look at zip's setup, he has a good pic of his net.

I have the Par2Pro HQ2 screens with netting behind them. No noticeable wear yet other than a lot of slightly dirty spots from customers not using my balls or not cleaning their clubs.

I have a hitting net behind it but, the actual screen is wearing through like someone has been rubbing sand paper on it. I have about a 6x12 area I hit and it's almost al the way through in some areas. I don't think the net behind it is doing much. I can't drop 400 bucks every 6 months on a screen

In what kind of condition are the golf balls that you are using? If they are scuffed, they will act like sandpaper and wear down your screen.

They were new balls I pulled out of the box but, I've hit them for a while. I wouldn't say they are scuffed up. This screen is almost like a woven net material. My buddy had a fullswing golf sim and his screen lasted years. Maybe it's the quality

I had a mesh like screen that was an econo type that I was testing for Cory. At the start of this sim season I wore a hole in my 8 Iron area. This was after starting the 2nd year of use with real balls. It was almost like the material was fuzzing up and then let a ball go through. I always have a 2nd canvas behind so no damage but needed to upgrade to one of Cory's better ones. The mesh one also let light through from the projector so it was not as good in that way either. The HQ one is much better for the projection and more solid material. Now I have all 3 screens hanging so the impact of the ball has backing.

Hey, I bought my screen from here:

It is very durable and heavy duty polyester mesh. I haven't had any problems yet. They have really great prices too. I did a lot of research before I made my purchase and these guys I think had the best product and price!

I had the same problem with mine from Allsystemsports so I flipped it around every 3 months or so to change the hitting area but since I went to almostgolf balls my screen will last forever hopefully.

                  cheers

That looks a lot like the first one that I had. Let's light through a bit, hangs nice and low bounce back but it wore with real balls after a year.
