For those of you playing FSX 2018 course play... how do I see the green grid from the fairway? Meaning sometimes if I am say 100 yards out and want to see which way the green breaks but can't see the green grid unless I am mush closer to the green. Has anyone figured out how to do this?

I haven't found a way and the birds eye view is broken in FSX 2018. You used to be able to do a birds eye view and if you had the grid on you would see it; now it jus vanishes. It wasn't perfect but at least you could get an idea. This is something I want to add to might site but it's been on hold since I can't get an overview of the green with the grid on anymore. It's frustrating not knowing when you can't see the green especially when you are close. So, for now memory is your only way that I'm aware of.

Because they have built the greens and have the data points, they could easily produce a Greens Book for every course they produce for on screen viewing or printing off...how good would that be! Even following the new scale rules of 480:1 would be great.

Yeah, that is basically what I want to add to my site. It would really add to the play-ability of the courses. Course if they did it that would be cool as well but I don't see that happening. I've considered rolling back but I'm fairly certain the courses/greens were updated in the new version and on some I can tell the greens have changed quite a bit.

For those of you who may be following this tread... I called Foresight today and it's confirmed that there is currently no way to see the green grid for anything other than close to the green or on the green shots. I mentioned that this was a significant oversight being that green slope can greatly impact approach shot decision making. I was told that the request had been noted and reported to the software development team. I guess we'll see if it's addressed in a software update???Last edited by shellman19; 01-03-2019, 12:46 PM.
