  • HMT alternatives?

I'm currently looking for a good used gc2 but can't currently afford to add the HMT. Are there any cheaper alternatives out there that could measure the things HMT measures?

I am currently doing some product comparison for HMT alternatives and will update on my homepage link on the left. Stay tuned.

Looking forward to this. I really want club data but not sure if I want to drop the money for HMT.

I think swing data is more important. Skypro is the way the truth and the light the alpha and the omega.
Get your swing right and then you can get your strike correct.

Skypro should give you some commission because I ordered one based off of some of your posts and testimonies. It should be delivered today and I am anxious to see if I can make some improvements.

If only you like it half as much as I do. It is a game changer. Only work on one or two things at a time. I really believe my game improved from putting the hours in with it. I generally just hooked up my 7 iron and went to work with it.

I've looked at skypro amongst many othere. Why do you think it's better than others and do you think it's a viable replacement for hmt? I'm just having trouble justifying double the price for such a small amount of info (even though I think the info is extremely important).

I'm not able to speak as if it is better than the others because I don't have anything to compare it to. I just know it worked great for me and at $125 that's a lot of bang for the dollar. Plus I don't believe the changes that i worked on swing tempo and club positions half back and at the top are things hmt can help you with. With that said there are many other swing analyzers out there that may or may not be better, i can't say.
Oh also it helped me make sure at my transition that my swing shallowed out it use to be steeper at the transition. Hogan 5 lesson book goes into that in detail.

That's interesting. That is exactly the feedback I was looking for. You spent $125 and got a lot of the club info you were looking for. I wonder if there is anything on the market that could give you the impact location too. I'll look closer at skypro, thanks.

For contact data you could always use the impact tape or I have seen people use foot powder. These are very cheap and with the skypro you could have a lot of info.

I get it. I wish I could afford one now. I assume I'll buy one in the near future but I need to find a good deal on the gc2 first. I was hoping to come up with a good alternative to the hmt for the short term.

Please take my comment at face value. I understand and get the money thing. Just remember everyone wants prime rib and lobster for dinner, but only wants to pay McDonald’s prices.

Honestly an iPhone and foot spray can tell you a lot.

I can get impact location with high speed cameras.

Are you going to try and calculate any data from these images? Or are you just messing around?

Can impact location with foot spray.

You need to figure others for true club data.

Thank you kind sir. One last question. What software are you using to record?

The camera comes with software that Im using to record. I also use the cameras with OBS. Finally I'm developing some software specifically for IDS cameras that will automate all the recording and playback.

Supraracer, I have a 3130 that I may be willing to part with if interested. It is new, just an open box that I bought and thought I'd use but just sitting. Check the specs on that and let me know if interested. 3130LE-C-HQ. I also have a ball cam that I got with it I could throw in.
