Has anyone ever sent their ES14 in for a firmware upgrade? I purchased one used for a ridiculous deal that is running version 104 and they said the latest 112. They want $25+shipping to update it... just wondering if it is worth it.

Hi,
My ES14 is f/w 103 and I'll definitely be updating to 112 if Ernest Sports USA can organse their Australian distributor to update as cost for me to ship from Australia to USA, have updated and shipped back to me would be around US$150.
Ernest Sports USA advised these are some improvements since 103:
Feature that allows the user to change the club selection from the app- Feature that to number the device to alleviate confusion when there are multiple units in one area
- PAS (personal adjustment setting) that allows you to calibrate the unit to yourself
- Addition of PGA and LPGA tour stats (firmware upgrade not necessary)
- Ball trajectory improvements
- Spin reading changes to help with accuracy at lower speeds
- Changed the IDL and TMR setting defaults (these can be manually changed on the device)
- Other minor bug fixes and improvements

HI,
Are there any Australian users of the Ernest Sports ES14 Pro with older firmware that would be interested in having their unit updated to firmware 112?
I may have a fairly painless solution but it could be upto a couple months away.

Hi,
Only relavent to Ernest Sports ES14 Pro owners in Australia, USA users would send to Ernest Sports USA for firmware updating.
I was communicating with Ernest Sports USA regarding updating the firmware of my ES14 Pro that currently is 103.
There have been several firmware updates to the ES14 in the last five years, and I would definitely advise getting them. The current firmware version is 112.
The upgrades are as follows:- Feature that allows the user to change the club selection from the app
- Feature that to number the device to alleviate confusion when there are multiple units in one area
The better option for me was to purchase a firmware programmer from Ernest Sports and updating my own ES14 and I'd be prepared to provide the update service to forum members for around A$30 shipped back to you.
For Australians, this is a cheap way of getting your ES14 Pro updated to GENERATE MORE ACCURATE DATA from the the way it interperates the 2x doppler radar information.
Unfortunately the programmer is unique to the ES14 and won't be able to update the ES12, I'd probably have to purchase a ES12 programmer if it could be justified by numbers.
