Ernest Sports ES16 - New Camera Based LM

I recently bought the es tour plus(2nd iteration of the es16). I have found it to be less accurate than my skytrak. The skytrak has plenty of flaws but it could be relied on for fairly consistent results. It feels like the yardages are juiced, especially when using a more lofted club. I also purchased e6 connect to use with it. My experience with e6 connect has been that the flight is even more juiced than es golf. I typically carry my pw 130. I know this because I use foresight LMs every day at work. ES Golf consistently reports 138-140 carry and when using e6 connect as much as 155. The worst thing about the unit is that the simulation software(es golf) is probably the most pathetic looking flight simulation I have seen since pre-xbox days. I thought the skytrak simulation was poor quality until I used es golf. It does give you alot of data that you don't get with other units, but sometimes it doesn't register critical datapoints like attack angle. And you can't make a practice swing without triggering a ball flight in the app. Well, you can, but your club can't make contact with the ground when taking a practice swing. That kind of defeats the purpose of taking a practice swing, being a routine that builds a repeatable swing. I haven't given up on it yet, but definately miss my skytrak. I'm still not sure what data is measured and what data is calculated or extrapolated.

What’s your own yardage on the ES16 app? I agree the app definitely needs an upgrade.
