  • Uneekor EYE Mini LITE - new product at PGA

Cheaper version of eye Mini now out - Lite version: without battery and build-in display. Need power connector and connection to PC. Seems good option for indoor only (normal price $2749 discounted at moment to $2500). Given price reduction on the full mini may come down in price later also. Cheaper than skytrak+ now but bigger hitting zone etc only downside is subscriptions for connections to sims. Wish we had this option in UK at same price point:

No battery or screen. It will need a power source so must be plugged in or at least have a power bank. It will make it tricky to move back and forth for lefty and righties. Also wondering if it is connected by wifi/network/Bluetooth or hardwired?

Well, I read the specs on the Uneekor and it is very impressive. My only wish would be to allow 3rd party software without a required subscription. The main reason is over time, tech fades away. If you have to renew a subscription for an old device to be able to use it, over time, it may not be possible. They do have a fully unlocked version which is pricey, but at least there is an option. The normal subscriptions are reasonably priced for what's included so after a lot of consideration, I pulled the trigger on the Uneekor Eye Mini Lite to add to my collection. So I'm looking forward to doing the setup with this unit. I wonder if we shouldn't have a Uneekor group given their significant presence in the sim world.

I would love to know your thoughts on this? I am now in the market for a new LM.

If you're in the market for a new LM, I would strongly consider taking a look at the Rapsodo MLM2Pro. I have had this for unit 3 months and it is an incredible LM! Super easy to use, highly accurate. No need to move it for righties and lefties. I played on the GC Quad 4 times a week for 2 years at my home club before investing in my own simulator setup, and although this may be met with strong opposition, I find the MLM2Pro to be just as accurate as the GC Quad for around $650 USD. Save the money on the LM and put it towards a higher end hitting mat. You wont be disappointed!!!

Well now that I've finished this week on the Web Tour using it, I would say this is the best LM I've used. I'm learning about my swing I've never noticed before; that says a lot about how capable this unit is. You could easily do fittings with it, or do a Bryson DeChambaeu and design your own machined Iron clubs with a bulged face. So my opinion is all thumbs up. It's a little more pricey than ES16 or Skytrak+ with a $200/yr commitment to run the third-party apps, at the current entry price of $2749, it's hands down a no-brainer.

Hey Chuck, Have you tried it in a game with both left and right handed golfers?

I have not. What I do see with this unit is something I've not noticed before; I then have a right side spin of about 1-5%. It makes sense for a righty single plainer like me, you may see that left for a left-handed swing. I don't think this would be friendly for a family with both righties and lefties.

OK, I've had this now for about 2 weeks, and the only weird value that I'm seeing is a right-side spin-axis bias. The reason I find it weird is I'm a 'single-planer'. A swing move I started after injuring my back a couple of years back. So normally I'm plane on and within a degree or two in-to-out. Indeed, the Uneekor reads that with the club tag, and my face is square and 1-2 degrees in-to-out. And from the club-face impacts, it looks directly bullseye in the sweet spot! So I have an impact on the screen directly in the middle of the impact screen and I'll get a 12 to 15-degree right spin axis??? Always right??? So right now, I'm baffled. I'm a right-hander and swing single-plane and usually have a pretty square impact. I heard some noise that this may be an issue with the software. I'm going to do some more experimenting, but the current stock software spin-axis looks wonky. My only guess is that it reads the club dot on the flow side of impact and sees the club face pull back left (for a rightie). So I wonder if any other people are seeing a RH bias in the spin-axis?

Just a follow-up, It is a right spin bias. I saw on YouTube others having the same issue. I look at the OpenApi Advanced Launch window which tracks club motion, and the frame that shows ball direction from spin ALWAYS 19/20 times is curved right. The spin axis will always be anywhere from 2.5-25 degrees right axis spin. To compensate, I started hitting with a closed face which is funky. Is anyone else having this issue?

Got mine yesterday and messed with it for an hour and i didnt notice anything unusual. Maybe some shorter shorts but i had just came back from the gym and I was pretty spent. Had a little trouble with the install to GSpro but after that it was fine. I'll put it through its paces a little more later today and report back.

Great results after a good session today. View combined with Gspro is fantastic. The only issue I’ve seen is an out to in club path on very nice driver draw shots that had a 1.5 to 2 deg right horizontal launch angle.i do try and hit on the toe side of my driver as a habit so maybe it’s possible. Irons, chipping and putting were all bang on as far as I could tell on all data points.
I did not notice any right bias at all, nothing. I typically play a draw but can force a fade when needed and long hybrids and irons can leak right sometimes but everything seems to behave exactly as I expected.
It’s fast, responsive and fun to use. Anyone know of a way to turn off that beep when it finds the ball? That’s gotta go, the lights are all that’s needed.

How are folks getting on with the Eye Mini Lite now it's been out a while and I think the firmware updates have fixed the right spin bias?
