Scramble mode is a must. Even if it's just local play and not online. When people have friends over or wives that "try" to play, it can be brutal letting everyone play their own ball all the way out. 2 ball and 4 ball scramble modes NEED to be in a golf game in 2018-2109 . Especially for simulator play.

Rapsodo needs to develop an interface for it. It's upto Rapsodo when they develop this.
We (ProTee) develop the interfaces for ProTee, SkyTrak, Ernest, etc ourselves.

Well this is the response I received from your Customer Support on 8/7/18 before I spent the $500 on the software upgrade for RMotion. I will be asking for a refund if the upgrade doesn't happen as I feel this is very misleading if Pro Tee doesn't have control over RMotion's implementation. I was also told to design my courses in TGC 2 so they could be ported to 2019. If the upgrade doesn't happen then my design can't be ported. I'm very concerned since I only bought the software with the promise of future upgrade.
From Pro Tee support:
The availablity of both TGC and the R-Motion integration.
We can not release all integrations at once. The R-Motion is on our list. ProTee and SkyTrak will go first.

HB released an update to the game yesterday (then pulled it due to issues), but it greatly improved the spin physics and surface interactions. It really made the game feel very good. Greens actually held approach shots.
Looking forward to the sim version.

Yes they are working on fixing the issues in the patch and will then re-release it.
There is no upgrade path on the pc version of the game, you just buy the new one.
For the sim version, I believe protee has said if you own TGC1 already, then the TGC2019 version will be free. Not 100% sure on this, but I think that is the plan.

Post #10 (ProTee) on this thread talks bout upgrade path, and planned cost:

I would like to see the ball drop fixed when it goes into a water hazard. Not sure why sometimes you go back to the tee when it landed on the ground, hopped forward into a water hazard.

Highly anticipating the SIM release for TGC 2019. Winter is coming, and upgrading from TGC to TGC2019 would be pretty cool. Hoping it's soon. Also, plan on designing some courses, but want to wait to make sure a release is soon before I put mega time into making a course.

Looks good but I'll turn that off first thing. No need to waste time between shots and unless your getting real clubface info what's the point anyhow
-
It's looking good! Out of curiosity, Are the lie penalties and green speed and softness settings going to be determined by the game itself, or are those going to be customized like TGC1 was?
-
We added the remaining distance to pin to the post shot analysis screen above.
-
Is the interface application between skytrak and TGC still going to be a stand-alone app that needs to be launched first? Or could it be integrated into TGC itself?

Scramble Mode should be on the short list to get added !! I can't believe it isn't already included in TGC???

Probably been covered before but will PC hardware *need* upgraded to adopt the 2019 version? I'm playing TGC on a very mediocre machine, it plays "ok" on a 42in TV. Hoping that a graphics card upgrade won't be needed immediately......are we expecting a big leap in minimum requirements? (sorry fro the laziness I'm sure there are specs for 2019, just looking for the experience of PC users to date)

It should run the same if not better than TGC1. There are more graphics config options, including render scale, so it should support older hardware. Turn stuff down if needed, but it probably wont be.
I run it on a Nvidia 1070 and get 60-100fps at 1440 resolution with the graphics options turned up.

Shardak has a really good point. The size of your screen doesn't really matter, but the resolution you are trying to display does more. Your 42" screen is probably 1920 x 1080 which is pretty standard. I play at 1600 x 1200. Shardak is playing at 2560 x 1440, which takes more horsepower.

Thanks all. Good news on more config options. I hear you on the TV/resolution thing, I suppose I wanted to share I'm not using a projector which can really show up poor graphics, takes less horse power to make things look OK on the TV. I noticed the new graphics card launches, will keep my eyes peeled for a good deal. Currently running a 3rd or 4th gen i5, 8GB RAM and an old Radeon card I forgot the spec of.

Hey guys, just got my sim last week. I have a 4k upshift type projector. In order to get windows to signal a 2160p I need to operate the mouse off of impact screen. If I try to make the touchscreen operational the highest resolutions I can get is 1800 by 1200 something like that. Simply that the highest resolution I have on my monitor prevents windows from going to any higher resolution. Right now I have a touch screen on the wall that I'm not using sitting like a carcass. Does this sound correct? How could I use a touchscreen for prompts and maneuvering while still getting a 4K output that I'm searching for on the Sims screen?

I always thought with faux 4k projectors as long as the signal is 1080p and the 4k upshift is turned on then you are all set. Might be different with video games though. People at avsforum probably could give a more definitive answer.Last edited by Jtangm04; 10-24-2018, 03:48 PM.

Ok, I asked my question on the avs forum. My projector is the Epson Pro G7500UNL with the 05 lens. Since Im so new, i scarcely have spent any time with a 1080 resolution to be able to compare it to the upshifted 4k for comment. It's better, by how much is still an open question. TGC doesn'trreally have great assets to showcase 4k really too. But it is def better than the native 1820 x1200 the projector is upshifting. 4kish Movies on this projector are supposed to be remarkable however for video games less so. Per Projector Central anyway.

I need a TGC boost!
Im in a Facebook-group about golf-sims and LMs and the majority of the posts are about how great another sim is. Not much about TGC. I havent played on That particular sim they are praising and won’t because its no longer available on ST. I had the R-motion and loved TGC1.
I dont want you to start comparing difference in this group only TGC related please.
Wich TGC 2019 features are you Looking forward to the most?Last edited by G4zzel; 10-24-2018, 10:19 AM.
