TGC Online Play & Adding Friends

TGC Online Play:

To connect online you first have to decide on which golf course to play, as there is no lobby yet. Once on the tee box, you need to connect with your friend(add Live friends to the game).

1. Hit the ESC key
2. Make sure Turn Order is enabled
3. Click on Change Rivals
4: Click on Friends Live
5. Select the friend to add to your game. Important: You may need to Scroll down the list until you find the player(s) you want to add.
5. Click on Back, then click on Resume Game
6. All the players that you added to your game should show up on your screen as Live.
7. All players can now tee off. After a few shots, all players will be synced to each other.
8. Online play will now be turn based.

NOTE: Do not use Active Friends to add Live players

Adding Friends:

In order to have Live players show up in the Change Rivals/Friends Live screen, we need to add each other to our Friends list in the SDK dashboard. Perform the steps below.

Everybody, on your SDK dashboard, click on my profile, then click on the 3 person icon under Home icon on the left. When you change your nickname or when you go into the friends system, you will be added to the database. Internet connection is required for this to work. Then you'll be able search for friends(alias) and add them to your friends list. This is needed for playing online.

Craig probably hasn't done the above yet. Must do it while online. SFR changed his naickname to Lyle. Try that.

If it did change I am not sure what I did. It should be SFR. Is it Cap sensitive?

I have my real user name and then in Nickname it shows SFR. What came up for you?

Also I found "Mark" . Is that what you have for nickname?

Yes, it will auto update for everybody that already had you on their list. Well, when SFR made a change, it automatically changed on my list.

I did go back in to make sure it was set up and all I did was hit save again. I may not have had it saved in the first place right. Not sure. I can't find Craig yet either.

What do I show up as? SFR or Lyle?

So, these appear to be friend requests. Do you get notified when someone adds you?

Not sure mm. This is all new to us.

SFR, you used to show up as SFR but sometime last night, it changed to Lyle on its own.

Everybody, when doing the above, I need you guys change your nickname to something else and exit. Then go back in there and change it to what it was or whatever you want it to be. Then post your nickname here.

Yes we just confirmed that if you change your nickname to anything else and save, then do it again with what you want your user name to show as IE "SFR" and not my name. When you go back in and do it again, it will save the right name. It also seems to automatically change on your friends lists without them needing to do anything.

So mine is SFR again.
