Confirmed! Your connection needs to download the course. If its slow it will just take a lot longer. The size of course can be anywhere from 100Kilobytes to 100Megabytes. Everything loads at once, so when done it plays locally.

Next your connection need to be able to upload scoring and stats to the servers. This does not require a lot of bandwidth. Just make sure its stable and not dropping constantly.

A broadband connection will give you the best experience.

Curious about the resolution in 4x3 mode. What does the software do to the image. Widescreen is best I'm sure, but wanted to know what happens in 4X3.

Also has anyone considered edge blending two projectors to get an extremely bright image and while getting 4k resolution from two 1080 p units.

      Thanks in advance.

        Joey,

Not sure what you expect. TGC supports any resolution your system can handle from 640x480 upto 3840x2160 Ultra HD.
It will not stretch anything. It will change the camera viewport. 4:3 upto 16:12

Here is an example of the same course in 4:3 and 16:9.

Gorgeous! Thanks cant wait to get everything hooked up.

Looks like the 4x3 image gets a little of the sides cropped. Bothlook great

After reading this I decided to go 4x3 on my setup. I was at 16x10 but my screen is 10x9 so it's much more filled up this way. Any disadvantages aside from what was noted above?

I am probably just missing something here but where exactly is this registration? Since I cant even open the protee interface without a key. I emailed my machine id to protee but not sure if that was the correct thing to do here.

              4] Enter License Key
The Golf Club Simulator requires a license key. Copy and past the Machine ID into the registration. A license key will be emailed to you with 24 hours. You can copy and paste the license key into the license field and click the activate button.

edit- Received an email but key doesn't seem to work. guess I will just keep emailing

There was something funny going on with your license key. A new key solved it.

We did notice you have an Nvidia GTX 580 graphics card installed. This card might not be fast enough to handle TGC. Give it a try, but you might need to upgrade it.

I was able to test just the mat with no launch camera for three holes and everything worked great! Its amazing how much better TGC is as a sim compared to e6. Really looking forward to my days off to play more.

The 580 Runs it well at 1920x1080 at medium settings currently. Its stays right at 30fps with the vsync on. I will play with the details eventually after I finish setting everything up.

Anyone have all their license keys just expire on them? I installed the system exactly 3 months ago. Tonight everything is expired and I can no longer play. Emailed support and of course nothing I have works in the meantime.

That happened to me once. I don't know why. Protee sent me a new key at my request and it's been fine since.

They fixed my issues quickly. Just need to reenter my protee interface key today sometime, but my new tgc key worked.

Asked for the 2.9 update also but they never responded to that part

I'm awaiting my TGC key and have a couple questions while I wait. I have my GC2 setup and all works well with FSX. For TGC, it looks like I need to download the ProTee interface (3.7 is newest?), but I've seen several posts talking about GSX...what is that? Also, do I need bluetooth to connect to the GC2, or will my usb connection work?

You need Bluetooth. Here's how it works:
Bluetooth gets gc2 to talk to PC. TGC is run from data from the Protee interface. GSX is what links the gc2 to the Protee interface.
