Red chain was supposed to upgrade but who knows where that stands. Not sure when Skytrak will be available. TGC will start testing hopefully soon.

Just to be clear, ProTee owns the distribution rights for the SDK and TGC game sim version. GGS/GSA or any other sim company would have to work out an agreement with ProTee before their users can use TGC game.

Btw, anybody here buying the PC or console version of TGC game today?

        Hey Zmax,

I'm thinking of picking up the Steam version to see how it is ($34.99):

        Here's a review already:

I bought the PC version today and came on here to see how to hook it up to the ProTee only to now find out I'm going to have to buy again when the sim version is released. Bummer. More money. I wish these things were clearer at the onset. I'll let you know how the system runs on a ProTee-ready PC. I currently run all ProTee software at max graphics 1080p/60fps with no issue.

What golf courses are available for The Golf Club Game (for simulator), will it come with ready made courses of all the popular worldwide courses such as St Andrews ,Augusta etc or is it self designed courses .

I believe there are some official HB courses and we'll also have access to all user created courses(3000+). They don't have licenses for any real courses so it'll be up to the users to create those courses.

                  Hi Guys,

Ok, I've got it running on my laptop. It's never going to work with these specs, I have an i3 with 4GB of RAM. I see the test machines are all running i7 with 16 GB of memory so I will need to build up a new machine to run this.

I dialed down the graphics and screen resolution and I play it in a window. The game is stunning. I did find tons of courses, including Augusta. It seems there are some courses even available offline, though the majority seem to be online.

I've not yet found a good tutorial, so it's been a real challenge playing. I can hit the ball pretty good, but I don't know how to change my alignment! When I hit it, it goes far, I would same similar to my own distances so that is nice. The putting is even harder to get the hang of.

I can't wait to see this as a Sim running on a fast machine... If you're looking to build up a machine, go for a LOT of horsepower (i7), and RAM (16GB or more) and a decent graphics card.

Does anyone know if the steam

We are soon to be testing the sim version. ZMax and myself will keep you posted on the specs etc. Lots if work will be needed to get it running and working with ProTee but it will happen. It will be awesome once done.

I'm hoping the sim version is around 10X ( $350)the cost of the console/PC version. I'm thinking more than likely it will be 20X to 30X the cost ( $700- $1,000) for current Protee owners. Its all about supply and demand, smaller volume will result in much higher price than console/pc.

Brett, 16GB ram will make little difference versus 8GB ram, use that money on a better card. Also an i5 processor will be just as fast for video game as the i7, again invest the difference in a better video card.

That would be the sweet spot - $350.00.

Craig, I have only 4GB now, I just looked and I can only go to 8GB total in the laptop, so reaching 16GB in laptop would not be possible. I have an i3 processor (and not an i5), I'm pretty sure there's quite a big jump in performance from an i3 => i7 processor?

I'm going to have to build up a gaming machine to play it. I'm probably going to put Win7 on it, and NOT Win8 because from what I've seen so far from Win8 - it's slower then Win7 and I cannot stand some of the interface, though I do use Classic Shell to make it look/feel like Win7, even copying files on it is slower.

                        I'll likely go with at

Existing ProTee users will get a very good price and 2014 ************** players will get a special deal.

We are playing around with the game on an Alienware X51 small form factor PC and its running good at 1920x1080 with graphics detail set to high.

This PC has an i7-4770, 16GB DDR3, 1TB 7200rpm HDD and an AMD Radeon R9 270 2GB DDR5 graphics card. The OS is Windows 8.1.

We bought it for $1500 online. The reason we bought this one is that its a very small PC which fits nicely into a kiosk with integrated touch screen.

I personally prefer the NVidia cards. The GTX670 is a little faster, so (in theory) this should work well. We will test some NVidia cards later.

There are a lot of advantages being a ProTee customer. Free updates, free golf courses, great support, no yearly membership fees for playing online, etc, etc... so 20x or 30x the cost for ProTee owners is not going to happen! :P
