So "Added Camera Follow Timer" is really the same thing as "Added New Camera Follow Mode"?
Not sure why they list the same thing twice just worded differently but it probably makes sense to someone... LOL

Now to demystify the limited edition mode...

And I agree with everyone...it's a fantastic update. Lots of useful improvements. TGC was great before and even better now!


PS. I don't have a new desktop settings icon...presumably that is a Skytrak thing? I do have the dashboard though which lists the settings as Keither explained.

Ah gotcha, they let me beta test the last few versions and the setting came up as a different desktop icon. Havent gotten a chance to update to the official version yet, so just must be differently placed in the final version is all....and yes it was skytrak, so maybe its just different with that

Yes, but that was always there and not new in this update. The only thing new in this update is the settable time delay.

Agreed it might be a little confusing. Its because the follow off has 2 new features. One is the camera looking up tracking the ball (not available in follow on). The other is the timed delay. So the camera type in follow off has changed.

Okay...so conceptually FOLLOW CAMERA OFF/ON now changes the camera type from tilting to static. It could be renamed to something like CAMERA TYPE = TILTING / STATIC.

And FOLLOW CAMERA DELAY = DISABLED now turns off the Follow Camera (ie leaving a Player's Perspective with no ball following). Any positive number activates the Follow Camera.

The nomenclature is a little confusing but regardless these are great features! I love this new mode! No more higher lofted shots disappearing from the screen! The ball is visible through it's entire flight just like real life. Very awesome and probably my favorite change in the update.

The limited mode should not have been on the list. This is something we use provide limited functionality. This mode will allow you just to play a limited amount of courses. Everything else (online, course editor, tours, etc) is disabled. You do not want this if you have the full product. It will be used for a couple of new products coming soon.

Fantastic job on the update ! Like was mentioned before, the offset mode is a game changer for me. I just couldn't trick my head into knowing what straight was. Not that I hit it straight
The map is perfect! This is like a whole new product! Kudos.

Major bug! I think it repeats the previous shot randomly. I hit my drive about 240 and then hit a 6 iron for my next shot and it went 240. I hit replay and hit the 6 iron again and it went 170. Next shot around the green was a little 20 yard pitch. I hit my 60 degree what I expect to carry 15 yards and it went 170.

So I go to the next hole and hit a chip off the tee box. I hit rewind and then hit a driver and the ball goes 20 yards lol.

Finally the chip issue is not fixed. I went to the skytrack range and with my 60 degree I average about 5000 rpm backspin. The most I could get in TGC around the green was 1900ish and it still showed 0 side spin.

How can I download the previous version? This version is unplayable.

It is weird that this is affecting you and nobody else ( so far ) I am assuming that you are a ST user. Is there some kind of reset on the unit you could try. Also try rebooting your computer if you haven't already. If this bug was widespread it would have been caught before release. You could also try to reinstall the update. Also, check that you are using the same firmware as everybody else.

I tried using the offset in my first round with the update (third round of the tournament) and actually turned it off after three holes. I think my issue was that the scout cam when zooming in assumes you are back to the center so it would disorient me. The same thing happens after the camera switches to the ball camera. It is awkward for me to watch the ball on the right half of my screen and then when I zoom to the ball it is back in the center (assuming I hit it straight).

I didn't test but I would guess the same thing happens if you switch camera views. I have a very extreme offset so it might be more noticeable and disorienting for me. Hopefully others agree and this gets changed however even if it doesn't the offset will definitely help when I have guests over. Most of them really struggle aiming right of what they see on the screen. It has become second nature for me.

I haven't figured it out yet either. I have a GC2. Before the upgrade, if or me it was spot on. Probably around 10 on the stump. I currently have GSX set at -5 and the TGC settings set at 4 and it is still way to fast. Probably putting about 13.

I don't know whether to adjust TGC or GSX at this point.

GSX- Protee. Slider on putting to 0
TGC- at start up, ensure My Server is off and click my settings. Set green speed 9 or 10 or 11

Anyone know what the default stimp is in v3? I'm a skytrak user if that makes any difference. It's definitely faster than the previous version but no faster than my home course. I'm guessing 10ish.
