try looking it up on a google search for your area, or look at www.EPSG.io, or even try opening the LAZ file with notepad or wrod. It is often listed in the file. Better yet, ask the source where you downloaded it.Or send the LAZ to me at jpotas67@gmail.com and I can extract it for you.

Yes, I use the Chad Tool. Where can I get the EPSG data for my coordinates?

Are you using Chad's Tool? Did you enter an EPSG?

Which files are required for this to work? I tried it exactly like that but then got the error with the metadata.

That looks like you should b able to get a LAZ file or files. Which is what you need. You just have to find teh area that you need, download it, and put the files into whatever folder you are using to create the course.

I downloaded the laser data here.

OpenData - Kostenfreie Geodaten der Bayerischen Vermessungsverwaltung

But I don't get a separate metadata file there. Do I need this or is it a course creation or can it also be done with the data that is available there?

Thank you very much for your help.

I published two courses in Germany, I was able to donwload Lidar for free for one of them. The other one required a purchase. My client made the purchase and then emaled the Lidar to me to create the course. Both were actually from the governemnt though,

The two courses are Levin's Erfurt and Levin's Altenholf.

I have the same problem with the metadata error. I would like to build a course in Germany. The course is already created in openstreetmap. How can I use my .laz lidar files there now? Do I have to use qgis for this? If so, how should I do that?

Myron have you done any Lidar golf courses in Alberta. I was hoping someone may have done D"Darcy Ranch Golf Course in Okotoks. Is there Lidar available for this area?

Yo, I'm an up-and-coming designer who thus far has only really done British Columbian courses.
I used this thread to find Lidar for Ontario and I've found Lidar for B.C here.

I was wondering if there was somewhere I could find a consistent source of Lidar across the other areas of Canada.

    My courses:
    Canada
    Victoria golf club
    Meadow Gardens golf course
    Big Sky Golf Club
    Stuart Lake Golf Club
    Coldstream golf course
    Radium Hot springs: Springs course
    108 golf resort.
