Course photos

Hi all

How do you take "photos" of your course before you publish? I think I was in part of the designer mode and i got a pop up on screen saying take photo in the top left, along with a few other functions.

Hit F10 and that will bring up the camera mode and remove the designer tools, hit F11 to remove the camera setting menu and then F12 to take the picture. This will be saved in an obscure folder so probably advisable to save a shortcut to that folder on your desktop.

Thanks for this hint! Could you possibly direct me to the obscure folder with the saved pics? I have searched the folder C:\Users\Robi\AppData\LocalLow\2K\The Golf Club 2019, but could not find any pics. Thanks!

kgcrob are you trying to take a screenshot in Steam or in the sim. I design on Steam and that is where I take screenshots so with that, the screenshots end up in C: Program Files (x86)/Steam/userdata/1065775485/760/remote/69520/screenshots

I really have no idea where that path comes from and I was able to find them through the Steam interface. I assume that those are folders that are created when you take screenshots. I am not sure where those screenshots are saved when using the sim app. Perhaps someone else who knows can chime in here.

I'm not the Steam expert, but would say, Steam is basically an online platform for games. TGC2019 exists as a simulation software, for instance, for Skytrak. However, TGC2019 can be played also as an online game with Steam as the platform.
The TGC2019 Steam version has a course designer included, just as the simulation version does. The Steam platform itself can be downloaded for free, the games must be purchased, like TGC2019. However, I beleive TGC2019 for Steam costs around $12-$15. I use the Steam version for designing the courses, as the PC with Skytrak and the simulator version of TGC2019 is in an other room.

That’s interesting, I’m using the pc that I have in my golf room and that’s killing me as it’s not set up to be worked on for hours on end. Would you mind sending me a link to what I need?

One real advantage of designing on the Steam version rather than the Sim version is that the Steam version is playable cross-platform so when you publish on Steam, then your course is accessible to everyone, whether they are playing on Sim, on a Console (like XBox or PS4), or on the PC. You'll just want to make sure your other computer is also a gaming computer and has high enough specs. If you try to design with an underpowered machine, it will lag significantly and takes forever to place objects.

For me, I take a screen shot by hitting print screen keyboard button to copy it. Hit window key and open Paint 3d. Paste with crtl V. Crop and resize if needed and save on desktop or whatever folder you like.
