  • Naperville Country Club with Junior Tees

Naperville Country Club's private, 18 hole championship golf course was designed by world-renowned architect Steve Forrest of ArthurHills/Steve Forrest & Associates, in 2006.

Other than being a decent course close my home, I really wanted to set something up that my son could play together. Junior tee is a little over 2000 yrds so it can also be used for short game practice.

Cool! Is this a good course in real life? It is private right? about the lighting, it'll go high in sky I hope. Remember I'm in Wheaton.

Are you making Ruffled Feathers next?

I was playing with the sun and felt AM looked better and highlighted the elevation changes. Got rid of the clouds to offset lack of brightness. Also with my projector setup the putting grid lines always wash out for me when the sun is set at noon.

Course is private but my work place has an annual golf scramble there so I've been able to play the course 3 or 4 times now. Suprisingly hilly course for Naperville. It's decent. I would put Cantigny above Naperville CC though.

Ruffled Feathers and Cog Hill are in cook county so don't know how to get the Lidar Data. I would definitely do those 2 if someone could point me to the Lidar files.

I was starting to do OSM on Prairie Landing and the Chicago Golf Club.

Why did you make that course, is that a really good course to play can never tell by the internet

Did you release it? If so what is the name in TGC2019

Do you have a link for cook county?

Yes just search Makray and it’ll pop up. I think it’s named Makray Memorial Golf Club? It was the first course that I made but I think it turned out well.

Solstice72 it used to be my home course and really enjoy the track. It has a little bit of everything. I’d be interested to know what you think if you play it. I’d recommend playing it IRL. Greens are the defense cause you can’t be above the hole.

I had to use override code 3435 or 3534 when using chads tool for it to populate. I don’t remember which code it was but you can try it or find it if you do some digging.

Finishing up Prairie Landing golf course in West Chicago and going work on Ruffled Feathers, Cog Hill next. If anyone is feeling generous and wants to help out on openstreetmap to speed up the process it would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty happy with the results, although don't know if the visuals will transfer as nicely from a 1440p computer monitor to a projector. The lidar accuracy was quite good and Chad's program captured a lot of the rolling hills. I set the sun to early morning cause it highlight the shadows of the hills quite well, but I'll play with it. I also did an autumn theme just because of the time of year.

Course plays very sim friendly with lack of trees. I did bury a bunch of bushes in the long grass to increase the difficulty and prevent the rollouts.

I'm putting the finishing touches on hole 17 so might be able to publish it tonight depending on how much window dressing the 18th hole requires.

Also added junior tees like the Naperville course.
