  • List of Bugs Still in TGC 2019

After being an Alpha Tester and playing 9 holes tonight, the following things still need to be fixed.

    1. I went to the chipping training area and had a 40 yard shot from the sand and I hit multiple 60 yard swings that would normally be reduced by 40% and all of the shots went 55 to 60 yards without any yardage penalty. Once I started my 9 holes the penalty started working again. I'm wondering if it's just the training area.

    2. I had a few shots on the driving range that clearly went left, but the after shot display showed they were way right.

    3. The overhead yardage on the course is still shifted when you press 'E'.

    4. Yardages are still wrong in the main upper left corner of the screen after you continue a round. I was playing White or blue tees, but when I continued the same game it was listing the yardage for the red tees.

This is all I have for now.

Agree although I was referring to Protee's comment on the limit which didn't/doesn't seem to include ball speed.

Yeah, the over-all point is that reading is messed up. Either the spin, LA, or ballspeed is way off.

I'm not concerned about wbonds data, my overall point was the TGC failsafe doesn't seem right.

So the built in protection is to cut the spin in half. That's not realistic either. What is the cutoff, just hi spin shots or does this check parameters for any shot if it falls outside of the norm?

This was a full swing 54 degree wedge with a RZN Tour Platinum ball.

If a reading falls way outside of the norm, then don't launch the shot at all. It would be better than getting shafted by a bogus spin reduction and having the ball fly further with zero chance of it staying on the green.

Yea, I agree with this. Although the spin on your shot seems impossible, arbitrarily cutting the spin in half doesn't really make any sense either.

      I'll second that agreement.

So now I am curious, why didn't the following shots from last nights tour not get cut in half? Is it solely based on LA? It can't be speed as some of these were slower than the original shot and two have more spin

They are not longer shafts. What are you basing the spin on, is there a link to something (chart/calculator/etc) that shows spin vs speed and launch angle?

Tour stats include: Club Speed, Attack Angle, Ball Speed, Smash Factor, Launch Angle, Spin Rate, Max Height, Land Angle and Carry.   TrackMan Average Stats Taken From The PGA TOUR   &nbsp…

Look at their PW numbers. Similar LA, to your 54 degree, yet much less spin with significantly more ball speed.

Nothing like seeing my 2 GC2 suppliers hashing things out.

Based on protee's comment you wouldn't expect any of them to kick in the failsafe since the LA is above 24 degrees.

They didn't state 24 was the cutoff, at least that's what I think based on their comment.

JackedUpSwing That chart only shows averages and it stops at PW which also more than likely has quite a bit less loft.

From what i gather from your posts, you don't believe you should be able to achieve 10K+ spin with low ball speed, is this correct?

Here are charts from other GC2 users pulled from the TGC recorded tour shot site. They have low ball speeds and even higher spin rate. Compare shot 2 from mine and shot 1 from player A. Compare shot 1 from mine and shot 5 from player B.

Are you saying all of our GC2's are suspect?

          Hello,

I have a question about the TGC2019 chipping area. How do you change the shot? I really don't want to have to hit a hundred chips or however many it takes for me to make one from the same spot Ideally, the shot would change every time. Is there a way to change the shot manually after each one, or have it automatically place the ball in a random location for each shot?
          Thanks

I must be missing something. I watched the video how to move the ball around in the chipping area but the one thing I can't figure out is how to zoom in like the video shows so you can place the ball anywhere around the chipping green. I've tried every button on the keyboard and touch pad. Mind you, I don't have a mouse connected to my laptop. I press "E" to get the overview and can move the circle around with the large X in it, but I can't zoom down to place the ball. What key is used for zooming? Thx
