    TGC 2019 Match Play Tournament

    So, I’m going to set up a match play tournament for TGC 2019. I will look after the tournament if you guys are interested in playing. We could do 16-24-32 players and have a vote on which course we use for each round of the tournament. We will do what we have done in the past, you will have a week to arrange with whoever you are playing to get your match done. Play will start when we get 16-24-32 players or May 1st whichever comes first. I would like when you are playing for one guy to stream the match and post the link on here and Discord. If you want to play just respond to this post. Let me know your favorite course and what should be the Championship match course.

      Check this if you are wondering which hole guys get shots on. Look under handicap, the holes are numbered 1 being the hardest hole on the course and 18 the easiest. I have to give two shots in my match to Jwheels9876 he gets them on holes 7 and 10.

        Brace33 can you put the brackets on a Google sheet and just post the link in your initial post so we're all making sure we're looking at the most recent bracket at all times?

        Also, are we playing straight up or with handicaps?

        And I'm probably being stupid, when I search Cabot I get two course called Cabot cliffs lidar.. one by ProTee United and one by TGC member. Which are we playing?

        With handicap scoring, are we using standard rounding rules (i.e. .5 and higher goes up, otherwise down)? Apologies for the dumb question, I just thinking how it would suck if a match was decided by one stroke, the one stroke resulting from a 3.4 player against a 3.5 player. They're super close in ability, but one gets a luck stroke :-). Not complaining, just thinking out loud.

              Aww yeaaaaaa. 3rd place! for the next 24 hours most likely.

              Can we do this EVERY MONTH?! I honestly enjoyed this more than the tour, because I actually felt like was playing someone and it's only one night a week (Right?) if you keep winning.

                  Brace33 - thank you for setting this up. BackBreaka-TDeck and I had a fun match. Really enjoyed it. The difference in our match was that he chipped and putted very well! Really enjoyed the course too.

                    Maybe I'm dense but I dont see how this works for skytrak users. I use the Skytrak interface to start TGC and I dont see this option you refer to to add friends.

                    I just have two options with this interface:
                    1. Connect box
                    and then
                    2. Play Game

                    There is nothing in between I see before I'm dumped into TGC 2019.

                      If you read Braces comment that gives us the course details and the original bracket posting it explains it pretty well.

                      It’s really not intuitive at all... you both have to select the same course, create the course conditions outlined, go to the first tee, then go into settings>golfers and in the far right column select add guest and select the top most instance of the playing partners name. You’ll then see the name in the column. Both of you hit your first tee shot then you’ll be joined.

                      It was really odd how you had to do it but it worked. His comment gave more details. If I wasn’t mobile I would copy paste it for you.

                      I always connected skytrak but then didn't use play game there. After connecting skytrak I entered through tgc app. I could then choose tgc or tgc2019. This is where you can add friends too

                      The short answer is that Daddio and I figured it out. We essentially skipped step #2 where you try to add each other as friends first.

                      Warning to SkyTrak users: If you open up TGC Console or TGC Simulator app (you know those shortcuts that get installed that you usually ignore) instead of the SkyTrak Interface app, it tends to corrupt your license file. This happened to me twice trying to find this mysterious "add friend" feature. I had to deactivate then paste in my license and activate just to get TGC 2019 to load up properly.

                      We just went right to step 3 where we each setup and started separately the identical game and then step 4 where we added each other as rivals and turned on Turn Order.
