Golfer profile being reset

Hi all,

I had created a golfer profile when I first set up TGC 2019 and already twice since that time in the last couple of months, my golfer profile has been reset to default. Has this happened to anyone else? The first time I thought I might have accidentally just reset to defaults but I am sure that I didn't do that the second time. Any idea what is going on?

Yes it happens to all of us. It’s a well known bug in the game. Wizard put out a video showing how to save your current settings in order to quickly correct it for next time. Try searching the forum and it should turn up.

The way to avoid it: when starting TGC19, don’t wait more than a minute on the main screen before hitting Enter and getting in to the game interface. That delay is what causes the disappearing profile bug.

This happened to me today. What's weird tho is my character appearance saved but all my rounds/money didn't. I've been user for 4 months or so. I also can't connect right now so maybe im just having issues.

As you enter the game start the game in the interface then TGC starts. At the screen where you see the course and have to hit enter, if you stay on this screen for more than 90 seconds it'll reset. For example you start the game and go get a soda then come to the PC and hit enter. Too long and bam reset.

I ran some tests and provided the TGC logs to ProTee. It seems this is the reason.

you tested this, sounds plausible. If we know what really causes it then so do they. Another easy fix being brushed away into the dark. I feel sometimes I can deal with the larger issues much easier than the small ones. I think i go crazy over little details i suppose.

It’s the main screen with the ProTee and TGC logos and windmill that you see every time you open TGC, that has the “Enter” button in the lower right corner that you have to click to enter the actual game.

There's only one screen with a picture of a golf course and an icon that says ENTER

Thanks. Definitely has happened to be. I have backed up my settings so it’s just an minor hassle when that occurs
