Pick the one with the most plays. It's not great. Strange that there isn't a better one.

I played it earlier, very boring course to play, all the holes were v similar.

I've been plowing my way through top US courses and this is true for a lot of those built in early 1900s.. Snooze fests mostly...

Pretty decent video of all the holes. I might give this a go if the current course options aren't well done.

Starting to look for the lidar files but my usual source https://viewer.nationalmap.gov/basic/ doesn't have the las or laz files.
New York has it's lidar files here ftp://ftp.gis.ny.gov/elevation/LIDAR/ but can't figure a way to see if winged foot is a part of the data set and how to navigate which files to get. Anyone have any experience with New York Lidar?

New York? You're a Chicago guy. Plus Winged Foot just is Penal without the Pizzazz. If you're itching for championship track, what about redoing Whistling Straights, it could use the Lidar treatment and the TGC2019 designer tools to replace the aging port.

Wait, I got it. Do both. And Ruffled Feathers..... and Thunderhawk......

Hi, I couldn't open the site gis.ny.gov for some reason, perhaps it is down at the moment, but I had a look at National Map and could find 1 M DEM data. I have converted that to LAS and classified the data as ground and was able to get a course out of it.

I can send the LAS file to you if you want to try to use this? This is the method I have used with the Japanese courses that I have designed as there was only 5 M DEM data available. 5 M is a little rough but it is generally a pretty good starting point for me.

PM me if you would like the data.

Oh sorry, I realized that this is not 1 M data, it is 1 arc which is about 30 meters. Need to find some better data, LiDAR or DEM.

sirish19 - In your signature block, I see "River Creek Park Club" ---is that River Creek Club in Virginia or another course? - You can disregard...I just looked it up and it is a course in Texas.

The winged foot renditions In TGC are not that dissimilar from the real life version. It's difficult because it's long and tight, and really the greens completely make the course. The greens certainly are something to behold but the variety and scenic nature of more modern layouts and fictional courses available in TGC won't compare if that is what you are attracted to.

They are not very well made which is why they are not used on the tour.
