2 potential bugs with Uneekor/ TGC2019

First, I have loved my Uneekor. It has been great. There are a couple of potential bugs that I have seen using it with TGC 2019 and I wanted to share in case anyone else had a similar experience. It is possible these are isolated to me, that they are Uneekor specific, or that they are TGC 2019 specific. I just wanted to share:
1. I have had a few short chips (approx. 5-15yards) that were hit from the fringe that come out like I bladed them when I did not. They have no carry and they roll out further than expected. This happened in a match yesterday on a 6 yard chip. In full discloser, I was using balls that I had put stickers on in most (if not all) of these.
2. Yesterday, in a match on the 18th hole (second shot), my TGC 2019 would not read the shot. We had played the whole match with no issues. On 18 I would get the "ding" and the QED software would register the shot, but TGC 2019 would not read the shot. I tried restarting everyway that I could to no avail. We started a new match and played the first hole (instead of the 18th) and we had no issues.

I figure I will post this to Uneekor and TGC 2019 because I don't know which is the better spot.

I’ve had the same two issues on occasion in the 2019 with my qed. It’s only happened a couple of times over around 10 rounds. Also, the times that the qed doesn’t pick up the shot at all is increasing I believe. That’s now happening a few times a round.

On a side note what balls are you using? I just replied to a seperate post on the issue of the marked balls.

Hi Guys , Im just about to pull the trigger and order a Uneekor and TGC 2019, I'm was just wondering if you are still having a few misreads and no pick ups ? Thanks Appreciate it!

Chanman , I agree with emanley21 most of those issue were corrected. You won't get any "no reads" and very rarely will you get misreads (esp if you use the balls they send you). Sometimes you will get misreads if you use stickers for the premium balls. Overall, it is a great product. So much more accurate than my skytrak was (although the skytrak is 1/3rd the cost)

The last patch fixed all of my issues with the fringe chipping, and i never get a no read. Maybe 1 out 500 misreads. (low spin)

No, chipping is just like the GC2. The putting is more difficult in my opinion, it can be difficult to get a perfectly straight putt. Just like real I guess.

Meant what golf ball are you using? Still non urethane ball or stickers on premium ball.

Ohhh, I am using the new bridgestone balls. They are like an E6. You lose some spin, but no biggie.

Had an issue where the ball was being struck just fine but it kept showing 5-10 yard shots with the ball being super topped.

There are two possible reasons for this that I can think of and they are both related. But first let me ask, was this in the Uneekor QED software, TGC 2019, or something else?

Ok, I think I know the problem. I will try to explain. The issue is probably related to the version of QED/Uneekor that you are running combined with the surface you are hitting from on TGC 2019. Some of the tee boxes on TGC 2019 are built using "greens" not tee boxes. This was a problem for Uneekor because they didn't realize that people might want to hit shots (other than putts) from the green. This also manifested itself sometimes around the green if the surface was made with "green fringe". There is a fix for this. Talk to Austin.

The other possible issue (which is related to the first) is if Uneekor/QED thinks you are using a putter your shots will react the way you described. There should be a fix for this as well.

@Dereckfsu, I sent you a pm with the patch i got from Austin, try that and see if it makes a difference. It might be unrelated. If that doesn't work i would try recalibrating the cam.

No, but you can just concede the hole every time, not great, but not a big deal.

I had an issue with misreads but contacted Austin and it turned out that my right camera was out of focus causing the system to not be able to calculate spin correctly. Worked together with Austin to fix it and it has been absolutely perfect since. I love the Uneekor system and especially their support and would highly recommend it to anyone.
