888/222 go very very far

I’ve never noticed this on the range
but in Tgc
when I got a reading of 888/222
my shots went 15 plus yards further than normal

i had a few balls that the dot stickers were getting beat up
but still reading ok

then all of a sudden I started carrying my 5 iron 190 215 with roll
6 iron 180 /200
im usually a 175 yard 5
165 yard 6

i was hitting them well but after a few 200 yard plus 5s
I noticed the 888/222 on the monitor

grabbed a fresh ball and right back to normal

for me it’s no big deal as it’s all practice and fun

but if I was playing in a tournament or competition I’d be
worried
I mean hell a marked ball goes the right distance
but an unmarked one has the same flight and goes a club or two longer

That’s true I did run a few thru
on one hole I hit rewind after hitting the 5 thru and proceeded to. Hit the 6 thru and the 7 onto the back fringe

Yea low spin goes farther even in real life. They call it a flier when it gets some grass between the club and ball and it goes farther because less spin. For what it's worth I was getting a lot of 888s in my uneekor right after I got it. One of the cameras was a little out of focus. After focusing it I haven't seen another one but my balls are still pretty new.

My balls had stick on dots ( premium balls)

ive seen the 888 222 thing with driver and improperly marked balls and the effect wasn’t as prominent
but thinking about it that’s logical as drivers spin so much less to start

888/222 is a no read for uneekor. Too bad it lets it fly. Illegal boost. Want a straight shot unmarked ball. They need to fix that.

I agree with coz

while it’s not great to hit a long 4 or five iron into a green

its great to be abel to hit a flat straight 7, 6 or 5
20 yards longer on your t shot or second

scenario your a 15 or hight hdc
your on the box it’s a tight hole 200 yards plus to the cup
the Match is tight
your 200 yard club is a 5 wood or some hybrid ( with dots or irl)
but you know a 6 iron without dots will fly 190 and get on
plus the 6 iron will go straight
what ya hitting

same on a long 5 on your second you hitting 3 wood with dots 200 plus
or a long straight 5 irons 200 plus

Sure it’s a game of honor and guys should abide by the rules
but it’s also a game played in cyberspace and guys are in it for the glory or the trophy
and I simply don’t trust ppl not to cheat when they think they can

as much as I like the uneekor system , for tournament play
this should be addressed ASAP

you can't control any shot with 888 spin misread. A drive with 1500 backspin already falls from the sky. I only use balls with good dots for tournament rounds and others for training.

QED/Uneekor fixed it already in their software package Refine/Succeed. Hopefully the update for Ignite with this topic is coming soon.

Guys that use boost with GC2 complaining about boost on a system that doesn't let you use boost. We needed to get boost some other way, haha.

I don’t play tournament sim golf and don’t have or use boost

it’s simply an observation

I do agree that drivers that register 888/222 look like they fall out of the sky but from what I’ve seen they don’t seam to be penalized to badly in distance

while a dozen or so 5 irons I hit all went straight and all went very very long


all I’m saying is it’s a bug I’m the system if your playing competitive sim golf

that would be relevant if you only had to hit greens
but you dont
theres a huge advantage hitting mid irons longer and straight
as opposes to taking out a long iron or wood

scoring matters but you need to get there

and no one knows if you hit a marked ball with a wood
or unmarked with your 5 to get 200 plus down the
fairways
and even if they thought you were swapping out balls
a lucky thin shot that comes out hot and rolls a lot
looks a lot like a unmarked ball the reads 888
with a well struck shot

if I dint hit so many 200 plus 5 with well struck shots I never would have given it a thought
my playing partner standing behind me said over and over great swing your striping that’s 5 iron until we noticed

and I have the upgraded refine running on a monitor and got the same numbers on both Tgc n refine

No, we just have to roll with it. They took rewinds off the table because people abused them all the time. They have people who monitor the tournaments for stuff like that..

If you play for yourself you can do what you want. But for tournaments you must have shot recording on. If you would win a tournament and take unmarked balls for woods or long irons you would be DQ... Other people would see, that you have a lot of shots with 888 backspin, so it doesn't work in tournaments. One or two shots per round maybe can happen, if you take older balls, but not 10 or 20 per round...

For context I don’t like woods in my sim
so I was using 5 iron off the t for my drive
then again on longer holes that I shouldn’t reach with irons
some I hit some I rolled through
but 430 with 2 fives should be well out of my reach

Maybe I'm naive but I'm absolutely F'ng Astonished that anyone would cheat at Sim Golf. I wish we could have the rewind back for the honest people in the crowd. I just love it when I'm moving my ball into a position to putt and the LM inadvertently thinks I hammered a ball and it goes 20 yards off the green!

Wonder if Pro Tee could create a filter of some sort that would automatically identify an 888/222 read and render an automatic rewind?

Naive it is for you. Mthunt deals with it on a weekly basis.
You can make a rewind society. It's easy.

Sad state of affairs indeed. I was curious so I took my 175-6 iron to the tgc range. With no effort at all, I hit it 215 multiple times. It's definitely an issue. Also watched your gimme gator post on YouTube. It's unbelievable

How is boost policed in the game? Putting can be looked at in ghost, but can you see if someone is boosting?
