  • Unplug cameras?

For those with Swing Optix, I noticed that the camera’s status indicator continues to blink (red) even with the PC turned off and the cameras remain warm to the touch. Do you unplug the USB cables when not in use or leave plugged in all the time?

I leave them plugged in all the time. I'm surprised that the PC puts the power out to the cameras while it is turned off, but it does. I see the same thing you describe.

Me too. It would be a pain for me to unplug every time, considering they are screwed in and the pc in is a different room and underneath a desk. Hopefully it's not bad for the cameras

I'm not sure if this is universal to all motherboards, but I can select in the BIOS whether or not USB ports have power when my PC is off

Makes perfect sense. Thanks for the tip! I will check it out.

Thanks for the input. I found this guide on how to manage USB power: https://apteryx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us...ive-Suspension
