  • Gameday - black screen when loading

    Hey all!

Im new to the Uneekor ecosystem but have followed the gameday development for some time and it was one of the reasons I decided to upgrade my Square LM to an Eye Mini.

Everything is up and working perfectly, from the launcher EXCEPT Gameday.

To begin with, I have a dedicated high end gaming PC (7800X3d, 32GB RAM, RTX 5080).

I have a 4k Benq projector along with a 4k Hisense second screen.

    What I am experiencing -

I launch Gameday (either from the Uneekor launcher or direct from desktop), I then see the yellow Uneekor splash screen that fades out to a black screen.

All of this happens on my main display while the second display still shows my extended Windows desktop.

The black screen then remains black. No crash, just absolutely nothing happens.

I have done the following to troubleshoot -
    • re-installed gameday
    • re-installed Uneekor launcher
    • reinstalled latest NVIDIA drivers
    • removed the Nvidia APP
    • changed resolution on both displays to 1920x1080
    • edited the compatibility settings of the executable (disable fullscreen optimisations, run as admin)

I am at the end of my tether trying to get this working and Im pretty frustrated after paying $199 for it.

I do see there are a few people who have had similar issues on here but it wasnt apparent what the fix was??

ANY assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Did you call or message Uneekor? They should be able to help. Also update here please. Thanks

I managed to fix this last night.

After 3 weeks including multiple opened then closed tickets with Uneekor and them remoting onto my computer multiple times its solved.

Uneekor couldnt work it out and told me its likely caused by my GPU (AMD 9070XT) which is total nonsense.

Luckily for me I have a second main gaming machine thats in my office. I installed Gameday on that and it loaded fine in my sim. I ended up taking a series of photos of all dotnet, C++ and other supporting software versions.

What I found, was that on my golf sim computer there were differing versions and some missing altogether. This will likely be virtue of the fact that other software over time had installed other versions of these SDK's and they are in fact required for Gameday.

What this means, is that a clean install of Windows 11 with Uneekor software will not get you all the required supporting software to run Gameday. They need to fix their installer to include ALL required C++ and DotNet software.

Ill be feeding this back to Uneekor today.

Very frustrating process but glad the 20+ hours (4 full formats, and multiple pieces of replaced PC hardware) got the result.
