I am looking to build a bay in my single car garage. I am a high handicapper looking to improve. I love video games as much as anyone, but my goal is to fix my lousy swing. Effectively the space is 12'Wx16'Lx9'4"H. The garage door opener is about 12' off the hitting wall.
It seems like there are plenty of options out there, but I am having an issue cutting through the marketing jargon. The sales sites seem intent on making it worse.
I like the ball metrics, but it seems like they are all measuring the result as a necessary input to the video game. I am using a ball metric launch monitor at the PGA store. It tells me when my shot sucked, but I can't tell if I toed it or opened the face.
It seems to me, fixing the idiot with the stick in his hand is most important. Club face impact point, face angle at impact, club path (horizontal and vertical) seem like the critical feedback elements. Ideally an integrated view to help identify problems with my swing seem technically achievable.
Assuming my budget is 10-15k, what's the launch monitor to help me augment my range lessons with the practice feedback inputs to get better.
