  • Protee VX Install

Protee's maximum height for an install is 10 feet. Has anybody installed a VX at a higher height? If so at what height and did it effect the accurany?

I would lower it to the recommended mounting height. Can use pipes, wood, or a projector mount. If you haven't bought the VX, i sell it and include the protective cover.

Thanks for the response. I previously had a Power swing launch monitor which failed mounted at 11 feet. Although it did effect accuracy i was ok with how it worked. I can lower to 10 feet by mounting a box but would also have to lower my projector. Easily done with a longer tube but will project shadows on the screen which i am trying to avoid.
Havent ordered the VX yet but thinking i might try mounting it at 11 feet to see how it does with my existing setup.

tallpaman I'm 99.999% sure you'll see issues at 11ft. It's easy to lower to the 10ft height. I sell a projector mount where you can add extension pipes. Other methods are cheaper but the projector mount would be the easist way.

I would seriously consider following the recommended max height. Why would you not just lower it to the right height? I am pretty sure accuracy will be affected.I am also looking to purchase one soon, but hoping for a sale to come before Christmas.

At 11 ft my projector stays where it is. If I lower the protee to 10 ft I will need to lower the projector also since it is behind but then it will cast my shadow on the screen which i am trying to avoid. The next alternative is to get short throw projector which i am currently researching. It would be mounted between the protee and the screen.
