    What do you guys think?

Does creative golf have shot penalty % for shots coming out of the deep rough or sand? Saw the shot out of the tall grass and thought it wouldn't go very far and you made it to the green

That was actually about 20 yards short of what I usually get that club. I’m going to verify with him but I believe there is it tells you what your lie is.

Thanks, I like creative golf and can't wait to see the online match setup you referenced in your video

a98cr125 did you have any issues getting this software to recognize your Mevo+?

I downloaded the Golisimo demo to see if my daughter would get in to it a bit more but I can’t get it to recognize that my Mevo+ is connected.

I downloaded the creative golf 3D demo and played a round with a couple friends yesterday (with mevo plus). I only have tgc 2019 to compare it too, but honestly we all found it much more enjoyable to play. More realistic ball flight, better short game especially the roll out on greens.
Lower shots with a 3 wood on tgc 2019 would bounce straight into the air and have zero roll is such a kick in the balls. Also I find the gimmie options lacking on tgc 2019. Either you give up on putting all together, set it to 6’, or the goofy +1 +2 +3 thing.
The simplicity of setting a 9’ gimmie on creative golf is perfect.
There’s zero argument that tgc looks much better as far as graphics, but overall creative golf is much faster and easier to play. For anyone shopping for mevo plus sim software, I recommend giving the free demo a shot.

For TGC you can just set gimmies to distance and set all options to 3 yards and that will give you 9 foot gimmies.

Yeah you have way more options for gimmies on TGC than what you think. You can choose 9 feet or whatever you want.

So you’ll always get +1 stroke when you are within 9’ that way? What about if you’re on the fringe and 8’ away. Then it would give you a +3 gimmie correct?

A 9 foot gimmie works the same as a 6 foot gimmie. Just a different distance. So yes, if you are within 9 feet it will count as a one-putt. Go into the gameplay settings. The gimmies are given in yards so just choose 3 yards if you want 9 foot gimmies. I believe you have to be on the green in order for a gimmie to take effect.

I was playing around with the “distance” gimmie settings when I first got tgc 2019. I had +1 set for 3 yards and +2 set for 8 yards. The problem with that was when you hit an approach within 8 yards but your ball is still on the fairway, fringe, rough or bunker, you automatically get +3. So par 3 your ball hits the green and rolls off the back, leaving you with 12’ to the pin, then tgc would give me +3. As far as I know there’s only 3 gimmie options
-“gimmie” which is a set to +1 whenever you’re within 2 yards
-“on the green” which is an automatic +2 anywhere on the green
-“distance” which gives you +1 at a set distance, and also +2 at a set distance or +3 if you’re within the +2 range but off the green

The main reason I’m not happy with the standard 2 yard gimmie is the fact that the mevo plus struggles with putts under 10’. Especially when faced with a 7-10 foot putt downhill, those are near impossible.

I was hoping there would just be a way to set +1 gimmie distances.. Not that big of a dealbreaker though honestly...

Change your setting that you mentioned above to +1 for 3 yards, +2 for 3 yards. It's a little confusing but setting it that way basically eliminates the +2 gimmie because if you get within 3 yards it gives you the +1, not the +2.

You can. You can set the gimmie distance to more than just 2 yards. If its 9 foot gimmies you want, set it to 3 yards. Not 2. If you want 12 foot gimmies set it to 4 yards. Use the red toggle bar in the gimmie settings to adjust the length of the gimmie. You can do exactly what you're wanting to do.

Thanks for the advice about gimmies! I finally have them working the way I wanted! Now I just need to write protee and get them to fix that crazy first bounce and tgc will be nearly perfect.
