  • Mevo Plus Alignment - How to recommendation and testing results

    Hey everyone.
I am new to this forum and have had my Mevo Plus with the Pro Package for a little over a week but wanted to share this info with the community.

I have seen a ton of questions about aligning the Mevo Plus with version of the Target alignment tool that has the red vertical target line to the left of the image of the golf ball. I did a ton of google searching and could not find a definitive answer on the best way to align the radar, so I did some testing to hopefully give some more concrete direction.

I have an SPG 8 net with the black impact screen and bullseye in the middle so it was pretty easy to conduct the test. Below is the process I went through.

    1. I lined up the Red Vertical Target line directly on bullseye of the impact screen and put my ball down on the mat so it was directly underneath it (my version the target line looks like a large upside down T) so the ball was sitting directly under the line.

    2. I went to the Ball Origin mode and hit a little punch 8 iron directly at the bullseye, the ball origin registered 1* left, but looking at the diagram it was directly in the center circle.

    3. I went back to the target alignment mode and put the ball down where the image of the golf ball is on the target alignment screen, then went back to the ball origin mode and hit another one and it registered as 2-3* right. On the diagram it showed the ball was half in the middle circle and half outside.

    4. I then went back to target alignment mode and placed a ball between the redline and the image of the ball, went back to origin mode hit another one and it registered as 1* right, but again looking at the diagram it showed directly in the middle of the diagram. Despite my best effort I could not get it to register at 0* of horizontal offset.

    5. I then started a session on the FS APP and hit a few shots. What I found is that the ones that hit the bullseye started dead the target line as displayed on the range. When I hit it left of the bullseye it showed the start line left of the target line and when I hit it right of the bullseye it showed it started right of the target line.

    Conclusion:

When Aligning the Mevo Plus using the target alignment tool you want the Red Target line to be directly aligned with your target. Once you have that set, my suggestion would be to place the ball anywhere between directly under the Red Target line to just inside the image of the ball to get the best results. From what I could see placing the ball so it is directly aligned with the image of the ball in target alignment mode is actually too far to the right.

Anyway I hope this helps, if you have any questions or other input please let me know.
