I have a Mevo+ that I'm using on a 9th generation iPad. On all my software (FS Golf, FS Skills, E6, Awesome Golf), everything starts off fine. The unit and the iPad hook up and I get good readings, with almost no missed hits. After about 30 minutes of use, there seems to be a communications issue, where it starts to missread. It starts as maybe one out of every 4 or 5 hits, but it quickly gets worse. I can back out of the software, go in the Wifi settings, drop the Mevo+, re-activate it and go back into the game and it will work fine - for maybe another 10 minutes. Then it starts dropping again, but it gets worse, missing maybe 3 out of 4 hits. Resetting no longer helps, and it will quickly get to a point where it wont read anytihng. The only cure is to shut it off and come back later. The way it acts, I thought maybe the unit had a heat buildup issue, but the case feels only slightly warm. Anyone else have this problem? Id love to be able to golf at least 9 holes!
UPDATE - So based on how this Mevo+ was acting, I decided to try to dissipate some heat. I placed a quart zip lock bag of ice and water on the back side of the unit, let it pre-chill for 5 minutes, and golfed a round of Awesome Golf. I shot 18 holes with only 5 missread shots. The missreads were only an occasional shot here and there, with no multiples in a row. I then went to the Skills game and shot closest to the pin for awhile with NO missread shots. Overall I had about 1 hour and 15 minutes on the Mevo+ without a major malfunctions. I'm pretty happy as I've never been able to do this before. I will need to keep testing this out for a bit with the different software before I'm convinced that this is the issue, but so far, so good.
