GC2 Flash not working for putting

Well, i thought my flash was going out since i've read that when it starts to go, it may stop reading putts and short chips and it wasn't reading my putts. Well, i've found out that it was my setup that was causing the issues. I built a stance platform and then i built a separate 1'x4' strip that attaches to the side of my platform so I could change out different hitting surfaces. The hitting strip was built with 1"x2" unfinished pine on the sides. From what i can tell, this pine strip (which is very light in color) which is between the GC2 and where the ball is in the hitting area is causing an issue with the GC2 reading the ball. I covered up the piece of wood and it reads just fine.

In the picture, the gc2 would be at the bottom and it was the piece of wood at the bottom that was causing the problem.

So if you are encountering issues with putts reading and you have something light colored or even reflective between the ball and the unit, that might be the reason.
