  • Foresight Fairgrounds Problem

Anybody have a problem and/or know a solution to fix Foresight Fairgrounds. After I connect my GC2, the camera angle seems to be pointed down in all the games. See first image. I've also reached out to Foresight support but figured I'd check here too.

This is what it looks like before I log in and connect the GC2:

I had to re-run the Foresight 'roomconfig' tool. I had just run the 'simsetup' tool which appears to be the same thing for FSX2020 but apparently it wasn't reading the setting correctly in Fairgrounds. Easy fix.

This fix did not work for me. I have never been able to get Fairgrounds to work. I see the introductory screen fine, but when I run any game, all I get is a blue screen (and 'it's your turn' instructions). I do suspect it has something to do with the room configuration being off, but have never been able to figure it out.

Try running fairgrounds without a your quad connected and see what happens. If it still does the same thing, it may not be the room configuration.

I had similar issue with camera being zoomed on fairgrounds. This will sound dumb but I switched to left hand play and then back to right hand and it worked.

            Thank you both.

Garnet: in fact, running Fairgrounds without the GCQ connected works. As soon as I connect the Quad and revert to the game, I just see the blue screen again.

Ewelsh: switching from left to right-handed did not change things. Either LH or RH views give me the blue screen when in an individual game.

These are the exact instructions Foresight provided. You probably already did this but figured I'd post anyway:
              1. With your software closed, locate the search box in the bottom left-hand corner of your Windows Desktop.
              2. Type the word "roomconfig" into the search box. If this is not present for older software enter "simsetup"
              3. As you type the word above you will see the icon for the Room Configuration Tool
              4. Right-click on this icon and select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

Did you ever find a fix for this? I've only just tried Fairgrounds... despite running room config in admin mode, each time i launch Fairgrounds it reverts the room config entries to completely different settings. My screen look just like the ones above - essentially pointing down at the ground. Any help much appreciated! My kids are desperate to play

Another one with the same issue - anyone find a solution? the 'run as admin' didn't do the trick....

After trying support's suggestion of uninstall / reinstall, I noticed the post in this thread:
I have been having a lot of fun with the kids playing fairgrounds. I did a overview of each game in this latest video.

Set room config height to 9' - regardless of your actual screen height. That was the only thing that has gotten it to show properly on screen for me. I may need to play with it some for the ball to strike the exact spot on the impact screen/game screen, but at least we can finally see the full game!

Posting the solution in multiple threads on the subject so others are more likely to find!
