Thought I would share this as I know there are a number of SIAB users on here.
The HP PC that comes with the SIAB came with a 256GB NVME M.2 SSD drive, which with FSX 2020, FSX Play and 30 courses, I was full and couldn't even install updates.
There were good deals to be had during Prime days, so I picked up a 2TB SK Hynix Gold drive for about $160, and an external NVME enclosure for about $30.
The good news about cloning the drive is you don't need to reinstall Windows or any of the applications.
Steps:
1) Install new drive into enclosure, connect via USB-C
2) Install Macrium Reflect Free and run
3) Follow prompts to "clone disk" from old drive to new one.
4) Once cloned, exit Macrium. You will have a cloned drive, but it will still only report the same size as the old drive (256GB in my case), so need to adjust the partitions
5) Install AOMEI Partition Manager Standard and run
6) On the NEW drive, move the "recovery partition" to the END of unallocated space, which will allow us to expand the actual Windows partition.
7) Resize the main Windows partition to the max size.
8) Click "Apply" to commit changes and wait to be done.
9) Turn off PC and swap the drives
10) Reboot - first boot can take longer
That should do it. You need to resize the partition before swapping the drives, as you can't do it on an active booted Windows partition.
Once I got the steps right it booted up right away, no issues!
