Yes. Or the Magnolia par 3 course if you don't want them hitting woods.

That's a really fun course, especially if you turn up the speed of the greens. You'll be putting for days!

Cheers for the recommendation but Magnolia National is one of the few courses I have already played…. Any other suggestions?

I just played Adam Benjamin's (a.k.a. Arctic Fury) Hopeshire Golf Club and Athena Academy Golf Course last night. Neither are ProTee versions, but they're around 6,500 yards, so not too bad. You will be hard pressed to find better looking courses in the game. His texture work and planting are second to none. The layouts aren't necessarily the most realistic, but those courses made for two really fun rounds of golf! I also really like all of Rich Banker's courses (Gator Hole II, Spartina II, the Breakers, etc.), and several of Dario Logan's (a.k.a. csu_golfer) courses also combine a great layout with really well-done texture work and planting. Check them out - some great golf to be had on TGC!

What's the difference between a ProTee course and a non-ProTee course?

Some designers create shorter versions of their courses for simulator guys like us and put "ProTee" somewhere in the title. Their first version of the course for guys who use a mouse or joystick to play might be 7,000 yards or more. You can play that one on the simulator, too... it just gets to be a little long if you're used to playing from the white tees in real life.

The Pinehurst #2 course we played on tour is the best looking course I've played on TGC. Very bright and vibrant, and no water to splash around in. BTW I feel like Magnolia national didn't look as nice as most courses on TGC. Not sure if it was just the Protee version that looked that way.

I agree. I was a little disappointed since it is such a beautiful course in real life. Maybe there are some other versions that look better?

Magnolia National. There's an Augusta National that's good too.
