Have been doing some basic research about golf simulators. It seems as though the entire industry is ready to explode....quite exciting for a golf junkie!. With that being said I am a bit confused about what the best option would be for my particular situation. As with most I am looking for the most bank for my buck. I have read different things about various systems and have seemed to settle on Skytrak as a good option for my needs. I'm not quite sure if it is the right choice and also with all the changes and new products that seem to be on the horizon I'm not sure if it would be better to wait for a bit to see how things shake out with bug fixes and new products.
My setup is as follows: I do NOT have the option to hit indoors. I have a decent size back yard that I can chip balls and also have installed a 10"x 10' x 10" commercial grade hitting net. My plan is to incorporate my golf simulator as a portable outside unit. I am mostly interested in practicing golf shots at this time. I would like to have the option to play a course but not sure if I would ever want to compete online with other players.. This setup is more for my own practice but would like the option to expand down the road.
My basic question: Is Skytrak the right system for me? Would it be better to wait for a bit for better products that are on the horizon?
