Hi all! Looking for some input. I have a Skytrak +. I actually had to send the unit back once with a battery issue but they were great to deal with and sent me a new unit. I’m about $5000 CDN in for the unit, case, and play and improve package. I find the unit fairly accurate and overall I do like it. The company I purchased from has a GC3 on sale now. If I returned my Skytrak and case (software non refundable but would happily transfer), for an additional $1200 CDN I can get the GC3. This would be without any FSX and just the range. There is a small chance I would need a new graphics card for my computer which would be an additional $200-$300. I rarely play simulation golf and 95% of my time will be using the range. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the Skytrak + specifically vs the GC3 and is this something where I should pay the extra money for the GC3, or is the Skytrak + close enough for my purposes (hitting balls in my garage, zero outdoor use, and just practicing on the range).
Any input would be great and pictures of the setup of my simulator is below in case that impacts it any. I’m also going to get a new hitting area may as I’m using my old Optishot mat so suggestions also welcome on that.
Thanks!
