Can I use a trackman 4 without the yearly subscription for software?

Hi guys,
Im looking at purchasing either a gc quad or a trackman, Im not looking to play any form of sim golf. I compete for my national team and would only be using it to improve, what really draws me towards trackman is its use outdoors is fundamentally better. but more importantly the performance software on the iPad is why I want to purchase the trackman.

My question is, what do I get to use if I don't pay for the software subscription yearly.
