ID:	305349 Back in March 2020 when the UK was in lock down And the golf club was shut, I cleared the garage out to put a net up. Then one thing led to another and I started to think about installing a sim. I only had a limited amount of space and with room only for swinging up to a 5 wood which is fine.

i spent a fair amount of time on this forum checking ideas etc, so I thought I’d post a before and after. I’ve still got a way to go but you have to draw the line somewhere, although I did need to get a hatch cut out of the ceiling but I’m not sure I needed to in the end but just allows a slightly more free swing! I’ve thought of a higher spec projector and a better screen, but at the end of the day it’s my garage and it does what it needs to do. To get a brighter image, I’d have to pay more than £600! Here’s a list of my set up:
    • skytrak launch monitor which is brilliant for the money and very accurate
    • decent fibre built mat that was quite expensive (£350) but worth it
    • astro off cut off eBay £100
    • archery baffle backed with black out
    • scaffold style frame
    • pc £400 off eBay but reasonable spec and it delivers well
    • nec mx260st projector off eBay - £80
    • Tgc 2019 (I started with WGT but tgc offers so much more
i need to sort some soft tiles to finish off the wall near the screen to replace my daughter’s gym mat! Any other thoughts on how I could improve it would be great!

I love being able to play a round in about 30 mins anywhere in the world from my garage

    Cheers for reading,
