Finished sim build
Finished Build (for now) finally posting some pictures. Thank you to the community for all the available knowledge that helped make this basement build happen. Also Jay and GSV on YouTube and email has been awesome, great guy and very knowledgeable and connected in the space. Also Par2Pro answered all my questions. HD Golf Scott and Derrick at Roxor golf. Inspiration by Patrick Peterson CB, Minnesota Vikings. Sold his AZ house and saw the pictures online that he had a professional Sim installed that caused me to ask the question, could I do this? SKOL Vikings! That was like an award acceptance speech ;-)
Dimensions - 12’ 6” wide, 8’ 9” high, 17’ 5” deep
Screen - Par2Pro Stealth Retractable 10’ $1,695
Projector - Optoma 1080GTR Short Throw $810
Launch Monitor - Mevo+ $1,799
PC - MSI GS63 Stealth Laptop 2018 (owned, $1,600 back then)
Software - TGC 2019 $950 & E6 that came with Mevo + for iPad
Hitting strip - HD Golf Soft Strike Mat $440
Hitting mat - 5 star golf mats.com $90 (left & right)
Putting Surface & Carpet - Menards Foss Tee Time $60
Floor controller - Roxor golf wired controller $155
In ceiling speakers - Sonance $300
Receiver - Pioneer Elite SC LX 704 $1,600 (also controls home theater & surround adjacent to simulator). Mounted above door in crawls space with home built shelf $40
Side protection - Temporary canvas tarp window side while theater curtains get ordered. Practice net on the other $70 total.
Ceiling protection - Foam floor tiles attached with heavy duty velcro. $53 Will replace once I land on desired option. Open to suggestions.
Basement finish $21,000 acting as my own general contractor and visiting jobs sites and asking guys if they wanted side jobs. This took a fair amount of effort and timing. Added one bedroom, full bathroom, wet bar rough in, home theater and sim room total 950 sq ft. Home theater was another $5,500 with a separate projector/ AT screen / Sonance 5.1 package.
All in, I am not adding it up, because I don’t want to know :-) cheers community!
