Has anyone had any success using a different hitting strip (IE from different manufacturer) in a Fiberbuilt mat? I have an older Fiberbuilt mat from my old range. The hitting strip is 45-1/2" x 12". I ordered a new strip from Fiberbuilt for $400 and I don't like it. Feels like hitting out of rough. I know it's probably better for injuries but it's pretty unsatisfying hitting off of. Would like to keep the mat since it's so solid and doesn't move an inch...
