      Will do when I hear back. I played my practice round with out calibration and it seems to be working as it has in the past. So there's that anyways.

        Ordered an optishot Monday and received Tuesday. I contacted them via email to find out whether I would be able to take advantage of the free upgrade even though I received my unit one day later than the requirement. I was given a ticket number and projected response within 6 hours.

        It has been 2 days with no response, and probably 30-40 calls over that time to both their customer service number and tech support lines with never an answer, just the automated system saying no one is available.

        I decided to not open my unit until I had an answer to my original query, and I'm glad I didn't as it is now much easier to return.

        I hope all of the current users enjoy the new upgrade, especially the online play. This is a great forum and the wealth of information here has been immensely helpful.

          Perhaps Catman can forward your post along with your email to his contact at Optishot and ask them to make this right.

            I think you should have opened the unit. They have a 30 day or 60 day money back guarantee. They also extended the cut off date from 12/1 to 12/3. So if you had opened it and registered you would have had no problem with the download.

            If I was you I would open the unit, scan a copy of your receipt and email it to them. I would even go so far as clicking the link in this thread that was posted with the download information and try to download it anyways.

            Opening the unit won't make it easier or more difficult to return. You should have no problems returning with their guarantee.

            Above all, have patience. I get the feeling they have little man power behind the scenes. It may be a few days for someone to get back to you, but I'm certain they will. I bet they are overwhelmed right now.

            I would go ahead and open the unit and play a round or two. See if you like it.

              That is what I had in mind as well except that I purchased from Amazon due to my Prime membership. With the price I paid, it would cost me more if I had to pay for the upgrade separately than just buying the Optishot 2 new so i wanted some peace of mind there.

              It seems like a better mat and cover (jagmanjoe and other similar ones) are sort of a requirement to get the best experience, so that created some hesitancy as well.

                    Yes a mat is much better. My mat just arrived yesterday and it has made a noticeable improvement I think. Standing level with the sensor helps a ton.

                    You really shouldn't have to pay for the upgrade separately since you purchased it before hand. It is unfortunate that you did not open and install it yesterday as they extended the deadline from 12/1 to apparently 12/3.

                    Unfortunately their customer service can take days to get an answer from, especially when they are busy it seems. This is the email I have been using and have been able to get a somewhat (with in 24 hours) prompt response.

                    Like I said previously, I imagine they are swamped with emails, so be patient.

                      • PM me for link to file. THIS IS NOT A LINK TO THE DD SITE. It is to my personal copy of the file. If you are registerd then it does not matter where you get the exe file from. This should be problem solved. Maxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx... check you PM's

                          Thanks very much, Buckeye. I've sent an email to Sales and hopefully we can get it straightened out. Wish I would've see the 12/3 extension here yesterday as I didn't see it announced on any of their social media outlets but it's definitely possible I could've overlooked it.

                                Worked like a charm Aurin ! You are officially "the man" . Big thanks. So I just fiddled a bit and realized that you can calibrate all your clubs . Not sure if it works because I haven't had time to play after my round (baby duty). It shows a driver when you calibrate an iron but it lets you choose any club.Maybe I'll stop going 20 deg both ways with my short irons.....😎
