I've been giving Optishot a chance... really patient with it. And honestly, when it works it does the job 90%. Not perfect but it has built-in courses and it will at least tell you if you're keeping your club square through the ball. The speed of the swing is helpful too... even though it's not right a lot. (This assumes it has all sensors working)
My problem is... I just received a new replacement and it already has multiple sensors out. I have the upgraded turf and don't abuse it.. at all.
I play all the optishot tournaments and recently hit a 70... Great round.. and not my normal score.. It was stellar for me.
Went to play the next round and everything was completely off... not until shots stopped being registered did I notice all the lights going out again. Ended up with 91 which is not even close to what I would have had. The only thing that went down in the round was the number of sensors that worked. If I go by them I had a -8.
Sorry... Just need to vent because there are NO real active optishot forums... even for their tournaments which makes no sense. Optishot obviously doesn't want to hear from their community which is why I'll never buy from them again.
Anyway, I ordered the Garmin Approach R10 and it can't come fast enough. It's $600.
Are there any other decent and decently priced simulators before you hit the $2K mark with the skytrak or mevo+?
