This is simple. I want to set up various experiments in the game improvement section of the software. I want to set up a series of different distances, club selections, and save out presets. I want to do this when I'm stuck at the office with my laptop. I want to go through the results of my previously exported sessions while I'm bored at work, and set up my practice sessions for when I get home later.
Currently this is not possible. This is due to the way the system is checking for the software licensing. I'm not sure what all is going on on the backend for Skytrak's license validation nonsense, but the idea that it relies on being tied to the specific hardware seems to be just outright stupid. Why should the Skytrak software give a hoot what hardware it's plugged into? I punched in my valid license key, that's all that should matter. The hardware should be out of the loop entirely. I've had plenty of login trouble with the software as well over the months that I haven't been very happy about. But seriously, why does the software give a shit if there's a physical device plugged in or not?
At the end of the day, I can't use this ****ing thing the way I want to use it because Skytrak coded their shit stupidly. It really chaffs my ass that I paid so much money for this thing and I can't do what I want with it. I'm not even griping about how many balls it doesn't read, which also pisses me off a lot. It's just stupid how this thing only works when it's coupled to the hardware.
