Im about to change from my OG Skytrak and get an EML.I have let my GIP run out and a few days ago was getting the message "Your membership has expired, you have 24 days to renew" which I dont intend to do. However, whilst I had the message I could still access the GIP and also play TGC2019. Tonight though I have the message "you have 11 days to renew" and I couldnt connect to TGC2019. I accessed the interface, it discovered the unit and connected but then just sat there without the option of opening the game.
Ive no real problem with it doing this but just wondering why it has allowed me for basically the last fortnight to access the game, but just stop tonight. Same with the Skytrak program, it now only lets me access the range. Does it give you a certain amount of time before turning off the GIP - seems strange to do it with 11 days to renew?
As I'll be looking to sell my unit shortly, is there anything I need to do before I sell it? Can I just let my Membership run out and be done, or do I have to contact Skytrak and get them to do anything ie is it tied to this laptop or anything. I have a photo of the details fro the Skytrak Program showing the serial number etc.
Lastly, and this isnt really Skytrak, but when I get the EML I'll be putting it on this laptop until I build my new desktop. Is there any hassle involved in moving the unit, and the software to my new PC. I'll be getting GSPro as well, any hassle moving that across PCs?
Also meant to ask, is it woth waiting for a Black Friday reduction on the EML? I saw the US had plenty of Fall reductions on it that werent reflected over here in the UK. Impatient to take the plunge but if I could save a hundred quid or so then that would help towards a new mat
