If I already have a golf club handicap, 10.4 I think it is, do I need to do tour school?

Played the first two rounds. I have a question though, in the settings for the game, these are blocked, im assuming the gimmies are already set, is this correct? Sometimes it gives me a stroke and then others it gives me two. Not sure if that is correct or not.

Not sure if the gimmies are enabled by default. Check the in game settings.

Just finished my last round today. Not happy with how I played, but it is established and I'm getting more and more used to the system. Looking forward to some tour events!

I asked in another thread but it is kind of buried, I will try this one.
ProTee - I am having a horrible round in my second round. In USGA handicap system, this round would be thrown out. I just want to see if that is the case here too. I dont want to be viewed as a sandbagger on the tour. Is there a formula where best and worst rounds are thrown out?
Also in USGA, there are limits (max strokes) to which different handicap levels can score on a hole for handicap purposes. Is that also the case?
Sorry, I tried to find this information and cannot.
            Thanks

Yes called equitable stroke control, and your best 10 of 20 scores are used and then multiplied by .96...

Thanks Ckl. So I will just keep chugging along with this round and hopefully after the ESC it will not make my handicap too crazy. Since I wont have more than 10 for a while this one is going to have to stick around for a while. How would I go about getting other rounds count on my handicap besides tour or q school rounds.

You just have to play handicap rated rounds. Courses with the handicap box checked in the course list.

OK, thanks, Sascha, so just play one of those courses and it will get automatically put into my handicapped rounds?

              Hi

I am about to go through q-school but have one noob question.

Are the setting of q-school predetermined or do I need to change my settings to properly qualify?

              Thanks

              Scott

You need to make sure yourself that Gimmes are set to 2 yards and the wind is off. So far these are user settings which stay the same no matter what course or tournament you play.

The q school isn't on the list for public competitions, any advice?

                    Cheers
