    2015 Ryder Cup Info

    RyderCup Update
    -------------------------------

Date: December 20th and will run until January 31st, 2015
Course: Pine Valley is tentatively set, but nothing is concrete yet.

    Team1: The Green Jackets
    Captain: Cklguy2013
    Logo: Green jacket
    Theme Color: Green

    Team2: W.G.D
    Captain: Cartrydge
    Logo: W.G.D
    Theme Color: Red

    Team 1:

    CKLguy2013(C)
    Bubs
    Bpep
    Zmax
    SFR
    Craig118
    Zip
    Mmlincon
    Hoosierdaddy (TomJenks)

    Team 2:

    Cartrydge(C)
    HoganWoods
    TheLono
    Chefrank
    Mayassa
    Voodoo
    Bubba22
    Throttle

    Format:

Day 1: Fourball - 1 point per match
Day 2: Fourball - 1 point per match
Day 3: Fourball - 1 point per match
Day 4: Singles - 1 point per match

Format to be approved by captains and is subject to change. Days can be added or removed if needed.

    How it all works:

Captains will set the pairings for each session on the onlinegoltour.net site. The matchups will then be revealed the morning of the matches. Once pairings are revealed, all players selected must complete the designated matches or their team will lose the point. Should a team need to replace a player the day of the matches for any reason, they will start off with a 3 hole penalty in that match. This is to make sure that teams don’t move players between matches to try and favor a matchup. Remember that each team will not know who they will play against when they pick their pairings. There will be no handicaps, its up to the captains to make good selections based on their intent. Example: Put out a power team first and a weaker team somewhere else. Or you could balance out all the teams. The strategy behind the pairings will be left up to the captains.

    How to keep score:

Players will login to their regular Tour accounts and proceed to My Tournaments. The RyderCup event will be listed there and each person will see the matches that they have been assigned the day of the match in question. They will not see the matches before that time. If the match is a team match, any of the players on each team can go and keep score for that team. You don't need both teammates to do it, but both can from their own accounts. Once the match is over, the scorecard will say so. You may continue to play but do not enter anymore scores. This is to make sure the final score for each match is accurate.

    Matches:

All players will report to Teamspeak for their matches and then play.

    For fourball:
Players of match 1 will use TeamSpeak Ryder Cup "Match 1" of their respective team channels. Same for match 2, 3, and 4.

Example: Zmax/Craig are playing Bubb22/HoganWoods in match 1. Zmax and Craig will use Ryder Cup -The Green Jackets Match 1 channel. Bubba22 and HoganWoods will use Ryder Cup - W.G.D Match 1 channel.

    Important Turn Order settings:
After both teams have all 4 players added to the game, 1 player from each team will have to set Turn Order to Disable. So, for team 1, player 1 has Turn Order Enabled while player 2 has turn order Disabled. And for team 2, player 1 will have Turn Order Enabled while player 2 will have Turn Order Disabled.

Players with Turn Order Off will play at their own pace and can communicate their shots to their partners. Then wait at the next tee. Once all 4 players are at the next hole, the same process is repeated.

    For Singles:
Players will use TeamSpeak channels in the Ryder Cup - Singles for matches 1-8

    TeamSpeak Whisper mode:
This will be used during fourball matches. This will allow players from 1 team to talk to players on the other team using a "Whisper" hot key. This is a different key from your normal talk key.

Here's how to setup a "Whisper" key:
    In Teamspeak window,

    1: click on tools.
    2: Click on Whisper List
    3: Click on New
4: When ask to set a whisper hot key, select a key that is different from your normal talk key(if you're using one). I use the space bar for my whisper hotkey.
5: In the box on the right, click on ************** TS Server
6: Click on Clients. You opponents names will be there if they're in TeamSpeak
7: Drag your opponents names into the "Whisper" box(the box in the middle).
    8: Hit Apply. and OK.
9: You will now be able to talk(Whisper) to your opponents in the other channel whenever you hold down the Whisper hotkey and talk.
10: After the match is over, remove you opponents from your whisper list.

    More to come...

Day 1 matches finalized. Please look at who you'll be playing with and against. Get together and arrange your match time for the week of the 20th. It would be great if we can do all 4 matches on that weekend. Team Green Jackets have 9 players and unfortunately, 1 player has to sit out each day.

You can also go My Tournaments/Team Play to see your matches.

From Dec 22 to 29 is no good for me.

Just to confirm, was this to start on the 20th or the 14th?

Also wondering what we will see with 4 players? If one from each team has the turn order disabled, will that person see what the others are doing on the course and will they see any shots from the two that are disabled?

The players with turn order on will see shots by all players, but shots from the two with turn order off will happen fast. The players with turn order off will see ball streaks and names of all the other players depending on where they are on the hole.

Ok then, that is like when the ghost thing is on and you would see the other guys shots but not having the need to be waiting. So one could play this way anytime on line with another person and it may speed things up as long as one does not get way ahead. Only hard part would be knowing when to talk and not be talking when the other is hitting.

Is there still going to be a way to re wind a shot with 4 playing for a miss read? Have you tried that yet?

                        SFR,

Did you read the TeamSpeak Whisper info in the first post? We're only doing it this way for the Ryder Cup fourball. Have not consider it for regular tournaments yet.

Shot rewind will be done the same way that we do now for guys with turn order on. Guys with turn order off can do shot rewind on their own without affecting the other players. I trust that they use it only for mis-reads.

Ya I did but it may be easier to understand once getting into it. I will need to set up that whisper key.

Pine Valley (Protee Blue Tees) is the Published name of the course on Protees servers. I also Published a version for the PC/Console version. It is Published as " Pine Valley New Jersey ( Championship Tees)". Yardage for this version is a little over 7000 yards. I will publish the Championship Tee version of this on Protee servers as well for those of you who have not hit enough Long Irons on Pinehurst.
