  • v2.3 Release - iOS and PC

    This should address many of the connection/capture issues. It does include a firmware update, so you may need to restart the app after it upgrades. Here is the PC download link, it's been released in the App Store but may take some time to go live.




    V2.3 Release Notes

    - Upgrade unit to 1.5 Firmware to improve battery performance and indicator as well as unit connection stability
    - Added full Menu to Challenges (any changes made to settings will save/apply across Practice and Challenges)
    - Revised Profile to add global units of measurement
    - Speed and Distance units of measurement are now independent of each other
    - Fixed Session Export bug (distances now display according to Profile>Units of Measurement settings)
    - Shot History columns match selection of Side Spin or Spin Axis
    - Added Microsoft Visual C++ Package to software installer
    - Various small bug fixes and enhancements

    Cool. Also if I may comment, I have my resolution at 1600x1050 and the PC app @ full screen shows it in a box and doesn't take up the entire screen. Any thoughts?

      Hmmmm...by box you mean a window? I've never seen that before. I know you know this but just putting it out there - If the window is maximized, you should see the two little windows on the maximize button, not one. I often overlook it because it opens full screen but not actually maximized.

        It's not a window, and there are no maximize options because it is in full screen, so it cuts off a fairly large chunk and looks bad. I never had the problem when the PC app was first released, then after the second release it started happening all the time. What is odd is that it did work correctly for a few tries once a couple weeks ago, was trying to get it to do that again yesterday but couldn't. More of an FYI right now than anything.

        I'll have to double check but my projector is set at 1600x1050 as is Windows 7 in my case. I'll try a more conventional resolution next time and see if that makes a difference.

        I saw this,too..it went away after I hit alt-enter a few times. Did yours?

        I'll have to try that - I think I did that at one point in the past and it fixed it for awhile, either way, will try and report back.

      Update is up in the app store. Haven't tested it out but the battery indicator finally shows it's fully charged!!

        I assume since there is a firmware update, we download as usual and the app will perform what is needed to update firmware????

          Yes when you first start the app, a window pops up that says it is updating the firmware, not to shut off your device, that the skytrak unit will restart after the firmware update and that you may need to restart the app after the update. I did have to force close the app and restart it. Process is very smooth and fast.

              Downloaded the new app and the new software to my pc.

              I can connect to my pc and get 3 green ones on the ST but the screen on my pc i black.

              I cant connect at all to my ipad and only get one green light.

              My ipad can connect to the cloud though.

              This morning i played 18 holes on E6 with no issues and also used the ipad app. So something has messed this up.

              Need some help here...

              The ipad issues is sorted but the PC issues are still there. All lights are green but the screen on my PC is black

                My guess would be differences in versions of Windows.

                I run the same laptop as i did with the old version of the pc software and yesterday it worked just fine. Not so much after the i reinstalled the new version.

                Its a win10 64bit ASUS ROG with i7, GTX790M and 16GB and a 250gb SSD so its a high end computer. I have all the latest updates on drivers etc. I know computers and this one is immaculate in its performance and setup.

                I will do a manual update of some of the C++ components this evening and see if it solves the issue. It might be something there thats got messed up. Doubt it though since all other software (Flightscope, games, browser etc) works like a charm.

                sorry, I meant that possibly you had a Windows version that others didn't. Or a version of a video card driver that wasn't tested.

              I can direct connect.. No dice on network.. I have installed and uninstalled the app, turned off the iPad, turn the SkyTrak off and on .. Reset my network.. Any tips..

                It did finally connect in Network mode. I did nothing different on my end. It just lit up one time.

              This latest version worked for me flawlessly tonight: iPhone 5s, Iatest iOS. Used the Skytrak range for about 3 dozen shots and then 7 holes of WGT. Only issue I see is that the Skytrak app says "Data Synced" but no shots are up on skygolf.

                for those that may be still having issues with the Network connect, the one thing I found worked for me is I connected directly first, setting my Wifi to the Skytrak., Once connected I changed my setting connection back to my home WiFi and then changed my connect to network in the Skytrak software, then it would prompt me for my Wireless credentials. Once the credentials are entered and authenticated I would connect fine. Not saying this is a fix for everyone but it has worked for me..

                  Not having good luck with this new version release. Before the new release, I had no issues with the unit but now it constantly keeps going off line (the top 2 lights turn red). I finally can get it to get all three Green lights on and after 3-5 shots it goes off line again. Have done all of the tricks outlined in this thread and it continues to do it. Using my iPad so not sure if it is a PC issue as well.

                    I would recommend resetting the Skytrak. Have the Skytrak turned on. On the bottom in the middle screw hole, take a paperclip and press and hold the tiny button for 10 seconds. It should reset the Skytrak back to default settings. Now you can connect it back up and setup your connection settings. Hopefully that makes a difference. Good luck!

                      I tried that and created the network and all again and as soon as I went to hit a ball the lights changed again. Top light is red middle yellow and bottom green. Again, it never did this until I installed the new version and firmware.

                    John6577 Are you using the PC version or iPad version?

                    If PC, can you try and use a USB cable? I use a 15 ft Male A to Micro. All one cable and not extender or additional hub connections/adapters.

                    What happens if you delete the WiFi connections and connect only in Direct Mode? Do you experience the same problem?

                    Worst case, uninstall the Skytrak software, reboot and reinstall and try again.

                    I know it's frustrating! I've had my share of frustration with No Read issues!

                      IPad version. I think I got it fixed (fingers crossed). I have two networks setup and it appears that the ipad kept going to the one that the ST is not connected to. I was able to hit a full session with no issues so hopeful that was the problem.

                      Glad you got it figured out. That's good it wasn't a hardware issue with your Skytrak.
