Laptop repair

Hello. I’ll try to keep this short. I just recently had a blue screen error. Took laptop to repair place and they are telling me the mother board is bad. They are still waiting on their vendor to find replacement mother board and send me a quote.

msi gs63 stealth was only two years old but out of warranty . I’m wondering if anyone else has experience replacing mother board and cost to do so for similar laptop. The prices I’m seeing online warrant possibly just buying new laptop.
