I'm getting towards the "almost done" stage of my build. I have an Optoma GT1080 projector from my prior build, and ideally would like to use it as the ceiling height to offset ratio is perfect and it tucks the projector way up high. Off memory, my ceiling height is 10'6", my mount drops the center of the projector by 5", the offset of my projector works out to be 17" to get to a max screen height of roughly 105" tall, which is perfect, as the Carls DIY 9x12 kit allows for a maximum viewable screen height of 103", giving just enough room to build up some turf in the area for the ball to fall down on.
That brings me to the reason for my post- I'm concerned that with my projector being 7'7" back and the 9 foot tall enclosure coming out 5 feet from the screen, that the "ceiling" of the enclosure may block a significant amount of the image. Does anyone have any experience running this projector with a Carls or similar enclosure?
Thanks,
Bob
