Setup my golf screen in garage, noise issues with low 'thud; sound, help?

Well I just setup up my new poly spacer golf screen in my garage, and something I did not expect was the penetrating 'thud' sound when hitting the screen (like a bass drum). I have it hung on the ceiling quite loose, and used two springs to try to reduce the thud through the ceiling walls, as well as added a blanket behind the screen. I can't gut my walls with insulation as it's too complex.

(I read a few other posts for people with similar issues but couldn't see a solution that worked for me)

Curious if anyone has any suggestions on how to further reduce this 'thud'? Would adding even more blankets help, or maybe I'd need to change to an archery net instead (or add one in front of my screen)?
