Hi guys,
I have seen this discussed here before, but i haven't really found any concrete info.
Basically, i have just finished a trackman simulator build, which is outside, located at the bottom of the garden, 15m from the house. Im using a Golf Bays Pro screen, which is over £400 here in the UK, so it is a decent screen. The problem i have is its just so loud when the balls hit it, especially with the driver. Its that loud you can hear it inside the house with the doors and windows open,
so no doubt it will drive the neighbours crazy.
When i press my hand into the center of the screen i can push it the 20cm back to the wall behind, and the balls pretty much drop off the screen rather than bounce back, so it doesnt look like it is stretched too tight.
Has anybody has any actual success at reducing the sound level of screen impact?
I was considering hanging 4cm thick memory foam (about 4lbs density) behind the screen but at £300 i wanted to be sure it would work.
Has anybody had success with this?
Many thanks
