Ok, so, here's where I am at...
I'm at the screen setup of my shed sim, and need 9'3" W x 7'0"H (4:3 ratio) to fill my wall where I will be hitting. I've always thought I wanted to go with Archery Netting - and just use that as my net/screen to project on, mostly because it is so 'silent' when hitting into it (find videos all over the web about that). But, then I'm looking up here and see that many go through their West Coast Netting (PR20 or PR40) Archery Netting screens in a few years and they wear out and need to be replaced, so I'm not sure I'm going to find the value in that over time (replacing my impact screen even if it's ever 4-5 years). Also, since many are now using this concept of placing a photo backdrop (polyester) ($27.00 on Amazon), or even something like poly/spandex ($75 direct) directly in front of the Archery Screen as a way to protect archery screen and give a very long life to their Archery Screen Impact screen - it may make it a 'mute' point - except it supposedly increases sound (whoomp), which is the exact reason I'm considering the Archery Screen in the first place!
So, while looking around, I came upon this Premium Impact screen that Shop Indoor Golf developed on their own, it gets great ratings seems to be 35mm thick (with 4-5 layers) and may even do what the Archery Netting Screen, with other screens behind and front of it might do - though at quite an expense (I think it's around $650 for the size I need). So, you can imagine, my question would be - has anyone installed on of these SIG Premium Screens and how is it holding up??? Is it really capable of 5-10 years of use, and if I purchase this one, does it mean I never have to worry about an Impact Screen again? (hopefully for the life of my sim: 10-20 years)?
