How do I select a good used GC2 Unit? Help Please!

I am somewhat new to the site and have pretty much decided I am going with a used Foresight GC2. That said, I am considering buying a used CG2 wither from an individual seller or a cert used CG2 directly from Foresight. I wanted to ask for advice on how to pick out a good used CG2 unit. I would have absolutely no clue how to select one unit over another so anything you can tell me would be great!

Can't go wrong if you buy from foresight themselves. You get the warranty I believe and they make sure everything is working great before shipping it out. Plus it's registered with them which cost like $500 If you wanted to do that after purchasing from a private seller.

you can save money buying private though. If you have apple products and plan on using the foresight app, make sure you get a GC2A also. Otherwise, maybe buy with some sort of credit card or PayPal money back protection just in case you get some jerk selling a lemon.

I bought mine on ebay for about $4200 and it's worked great so far

Thanks a lot for the input and glad to hear things are working out well with your unit. Seems to me like the price spread is pretty tight between the 2 options. Leaning towards a cert unit from Foresight unless there is an offer too good to pass up.
2 other things I am learning about....

1) The importance of serial number (any thoughts about that?)
2) If the unit for sale happened to include one of the practice dongles (adding to the value of the unit as a whole)
